Laptop start up error

i have a major problem with my laptop, nothing will load when the laptop is switched on it goes to a blue screen and says a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. if this screen appears again, follow these steps:
check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. if this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.
if problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

When the computer starts up press F8 repeatedly to enter the windows startup options. Try using Last Known Good Configuration and see if it goes in. If not, try safe mode - if it goes in with safe mode perform a diskcheck and do a system restore to when last working.
If not post again - there should be another string of numbers after STOP and before the Brackets in the format 0x000000?? - this code if google searched will tell you what the STOP ERROR is being caused by (google STOP ERROR 0x000000??).

This error comes when there is memory issue .
Harddisk issue or RAM issue.
For that if you have windows recovery disk you need to run disk checking program
Most of this error comes becuase of hardddisk error.
Boot your computer with windows xp disk then enter in recovery console mode then type in prompt "chkdsk /r"
then press "y"
then it checks disk andf fix error if found any error on harddisk.
then you can boot your windows.
