There is a fuel shut off switch I think?not shure were button can take a guess passenger kick panel under dash or in trunk near the wire harness that feeds the tank.maybe a relay on the fire wall passenger side engine compartment. 1more thing it could be vapor lock in the hose take it off in the engine area get small glass have some one crank it over until late gas floss out reattach it and go .

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, also, check fuel injector pulse. Any applicable trouble codes?
I need more info, have you done any testing?

You need to check fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse.

W/o checking fuel pressure, I don't know? When you first turn on the key, no crank, can you hear the fuel pump run for a couple of secondshttps://s29.postimg.org/u3smc6ldz/fuel_t...
Click on the link, the top wire on the right is voltage for fuel pump motor, the bottom wire is ground. Check voltage and ground with engine cranking.

Ran out of gas in 98 ford explorer sport. Put in 1 1/2 gallons gas more or less. Won't start. Answers/ hints?

Old fuel pumps don't like running out of gas. Hit the bottom of the tank near the center a few times. If it starts replace the fuel pump.

Honda passport ran out of gas. now won't start. Could be gas filter?Put 5 gals of gas in tank. Will start with gas added to air flter intake, but won't stay running

It's possible that you have an air bubble in the fuel line. This blocks fuel from reaching the engine. To clear it, you will have to bleed the line at the fuel filter.

The other possibility is that the fuel pump is not working. Turn the ignition key to the on position. You should be able to hear the fuel pump humming. If not, check the fuel pump fuse, in the fusebox under the hood. If the fuse is ok, you will need to trouble-shoot the pump.

2003 Dodge Neon SXT. Car ran out of fuel...put 5 gallons of gas in...car won't start, even after jumping. Advice?

One thing to try is to swap out the fuel filter, as it might have sucked up some gunk out of the bottom of your tank when you ran it dry.

My fuel pump fuse keeps popping and we just changed the fuel pumpand it still pops it what could that be {98 dodge neon)

Check your power wire to the pump. It must have a bare spot somewhere, and is grounding out. Probably on top of the gas tank.

98 dodge wont start

Did you consider putting gas in it?
Did you chek the fuel pump if it works?

Neon wont start

It could be the fuel pump. The only way to know is to test it with a fuel pressure guage. You can buy them at most auto parts stores. What you are describing it fairly typical of a bad pump.(runs fine until you shut it of then won't start). The car can not be push started without the pump running. The pump is not really hard to change, but the fuel tank has to be dropped to do it. the pump is inside of the gas tank. Hope this helped.
