Your BIOS settings can be accessed when you first power on your computer. Normally you will see a splash screen such as Dell, HP, Toshiba, ect and at the bottom of your the screen it will say something to the effect of press "<Some Key> to enter setup". If you see this message just press the key it lists on that line of text to enter the BIOS. However, if it does not say anything slowly try tapping the F2, F1 or Delete key the moment your computer is powering on when that first screen is displayed. Those are normally the keys used to enter the BIOS, but it could honestly be any of the F# keys that was picked by your system manufacturer. This may take a few attempts and if you press the key too rapidly it could cause a keyboard error that will force you to reboot. Be warned that your BIOS is a very important part of your computer and changing things without understanding what they do could cause you system to become unstable, unbootable or even damaged.

Depending on you computer model, pressing F2 or DELETE immediately after turning the computer on should open the set up screen for the BIOS.

I hope this helps.

Locked out from eee box 1035 need to reset bios how?

Try this. Right out of the manual. The reset button is the little pin hole next to the power. Will need a paper clip that is straightened.

Entering the BIOS Setup
BIOS (Basic Input and Output System) stores system hardware
settings that are needed for system startup in the PC.
In normal circumstances, the default BIOS settings apply to most
conditions to ensure optimal performance. Do not change the
default BIOS settings except in the following circumstances:
An error message appears on the screen during the system
bootup and requests you to run the BIOS Setup.
You have installed a new system component that requires further
BIOS settings or update.
WARNING!
Inappropriate BIOS settings may result to instability
or boot failure. We strongly recommend that you change the BIOS
settings only with the help of a trained service personnel.
Quickly enter the BIOS
Windows8 boot time is quite fast, so we developed the following
three ways for you to quickly access the BIOS:
Before booting up the system, insert a straightened paper clip
into the BIOS Reset key.
BIOS Reset key
Press the power button for at least four seconds to shut down
your PC, then press the power button again to turn your PC back
on, and press F2 during POSt.
When your PC is off, disconnect the power cord from your PC's
power connector. Reconnect the power cord and press the
power button to turn on your PC. Press F2 during POST.

Reset cmos bios

Some laptop BIOS can be restored to the factory defaults in the BIOS setting - Default setting.
If your BIOS does not have this option then remove the BIOS battery for 20 or more mins. When you replace the BIOS battery the BIOS will be RESET then go into the BIOS setting scroll to Date & Time to set the current date and time.

The best way to reset the BIOS back to the defaults (if there isnt a setting to install the defaults), is to remove the BIOS battery for 15mins. This will drain the charge from the BIOS, insert the battery and then go to the BIOS setting to set the Date and Time.
