Question about Margaritaville Frozen Concoction (DM1000) Blender
You have to hold the button (above the blending jar) down while turning the rotating paddle in the ice hopper. It will eventually catch, then you can unscrew it, take it apart, and clean it. Just be careful not to cut yourself on the shaver blade.

Once the button "catches", I use a rubber kitchen brush handle to hold my button down.
Mine is really hard to hold down too, but using a rubber brush handle makes it very easy. I think maybe something might be wrong with mine, it didn't use to be so difficult, but this seems to work for now.

I use a small block of wood to hold the button in while turning the paddle. Even then it sometimes is still difficult. I started putting vegatable oil on the paddle screw to help lubrcate it.
