LG model 55uf6450. TV turns off and get static with left half a side of magenta. Audio is white noise. What is wrong?
If I select change input, the screen goes solid black on the right side and solid green on the left side. Mute and volume control work fine. Checked boards and there are no broken caps or other sides of problems. Backlight LED's work fine.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Are you using a universal or cable remote to turn it on? It should have a input select button on it. If it changes the tv, put it on COMP or COMPONENT If that don't work, depending on the model and year of the tv there should be some buttons either on the side edge or bottom edge or on the back. Find the input button and press it to get to the COMPONENT input. Your converter should be plugged into the same component inputs on the back of the tv. Yellow to yellow (video) red to red (right audio) and white to white (left audio) Good luck
Installation steps: These steps work for Wii, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo 64, and Super NES hookups.
Gently pull the yellow cable of the Stereo AV cable apart from the two Audio cables (red & white). Plug the yellow cable into the Video Input on the TV or VCR. Locate an open set of Audio inputs (left & right) on your home stereo. Do NOT use inputs marked "Phono." Plug the white cable into the Audio Left input on your home stereo. Plug the red cable into the Audio Right input on your home stereo. Set the input select on the stereo system to match the label on the set of audio inputs. (For example, if you plugged the Audio cables into the AUX port, switch the stereo to AUX or "auxilliary." Make sure the game is placed properly in the system. Plug the controller(s) into the front of the Control Deck using the left most port for player one. Plug the AC Adapter into the back of the system. Plug the other end into a wall outlet. Turn the power on. Turn on the TV or VCR and locate the input select. It's often called Input Select, AUX (auxilary), Line, Line In, Input, Source, Select, In, or EXT (external. Switch the input select to show the Nintendo game. Note: If you are using a VCR, you will need to set the VCR's TV/VCR button to VCR. You can do this by putting a movie in the VCR, pressing play, then pressing stop.
The game image should now be displayed on the screen. You're ready to play.
Yes. Connect an audio cable from iPod to TV. This cable has the earphone type plug on the iPod side and 2 RCA audio plugs on the TV side. Connect to the TV's white and red audio IN jacks and select this input using the TV remote. Radio Shack or any online store like Amazon selss these adapter cables.

Connect the audio outputs jacks from the TV to any available audio input terminals on the Yamaha receiver, other than the phono input. You can use any analog audio Left (White) and Right (Red) inputs on your receiver such as the DTV/CBL, SAT or VCR input. There are no special settings needed on the receiver, other than selecting the correct input. There may be some settings that will need to be changed on the TV. Consult the TV ownersEmanual for setting up the TV to output audio to an external source. If youre TV has a digital output (Optical or Coaxial) it can also be run to one of the digital inputs on the Yamaha receiver, such as DTV/CBL or DVD. There may be some settings that will need to be changed on your TV. As always, consult the TV ownersEmanual for setting up the TV to output digital audio to an external source.
NOTE: When the source of the audio signal is coming from an HDMI device connected to the TV, the TV may not output in 5.1 surround sound.
I have been through the LG TV runaround, and I can tell you that it isn't easy. On the same unit that you are currently working on, the part numbers of the parts you received may or may not be correct. LG (Zenith) uses slightly different parts for the same model, and it really is kind of a gamble on which ones are right. They do not keep track of parts by serial number, and on different TV's of the same model, I have been through 8 control boards (on one set!), 4 sets of X and Y sus boards (on one set), digital boards, and so on and so on. The people are nice in LG's tech services, and they will admit to the fact that it may take several of the same parts to get it right.
My shop has decided not to work on LG or Zenith for this and other reasons. The turnaround time to get a TV back out of the door is ridiculously long because of the wait time with parts going back and forth.
In short, you have the right boards, but they may be the wrong boards. Maddening, isn't it?
I bought a wii a few days ago and like everybody else mine too was in black and white with a grainy picture. I have a Panasonic lcd flat screen and thought I had connected it corrected, I got somebody out to have a look at it and found out there are some connections on the side of the TV which I hadn't even noticed before, once I put the red white and yellow leads in these and set the TV to AV3 everything is in perfect colour. Hope this works for some of you.
