1.The carriage contacts are worn out and the contacts need to be replaced. 2.The Trailing cable is worn out and needs to be replaced. It is highly recommend that you replace this both at the same time. These are the two likely causes of the cartridge problems. You
can do it your self by following the service instructions at
http://www.feedroller.com/store/Service%20Manual/DESIGNJET%20700,%20750C,%20750CT,%20755CM%20Service%20Manual.pdf and you can get parts at http://www.donparts.com/products/53-DJ-700-750C-755CM/ for the plotter.
There are free software you can download for this designjet 750c by finding at websearch like yahoo.com or msn.com. Just type the driver name for this printer and you can download it for free. Most of the printer driver now can be downloaded online with free cd key. Just let it try. or Maybe the printer you are installing is not compatible with windows 7. try to read you printer's user manual.

If HP don't support it for Vista you will not be able to get a driver unless you are willing to pay a programmer several thousands of pounds to go into the Vista OS and findout what information it needs so that he can write the drivers. He would also need developer ststus from Microsoft for the source codes etc. Either bin Vista (it's being replaced later this year) or buy anther plotter.
I would have said
Gotta be setting in your print dialogue box, but if the test page comes out as mirror image, must be a setting on printer control somewhere
**you need a good driver: whilst ordinary printer drivers may treat plotters like very large,
slow, desktop printers, our driver uses the native vector graphics
capabilities of your large format plotter to render CAD and line
drawings at maximum speed.
