- yes, I checked sysem restore but it reports no restore points available. Virus must have corrupted them!(either the trojan or that other virus..Windows)
if you have problems with vista i normaly do a system restore if i have a problem with something that i am having trouble with fixing that usually works, vista is so buggy i just give up after a hour of trying to fix stuff and do a system restore i had to tweak vista so much to get it to run right thats why so many people are downgrading to xp, is the right drivers installed for the wireless?
Go into componant services and turn them all on, it's comman with vista to have this happen when using certain optimizing and anti virus programs, like spybot. Your network may have been turned off. Also just try using the wizard to establish a new connection instead of trying to fix the one you are troubleshooting, I had a similar problem ith an HP laptop and vista, and it had some services stopped or set to manual, the reset of the services fixed it.
Check out in the msconfig "Run command" and see whats booting up on that pc. Delete all but Antivirus & firewall. Maybe a good idea to run Malwarebytes in safe mode also (F8) and do a full scan then delete all infections. >> http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Once this has completed, be sure to checl that all the updates from microfost are completed. Then run Ccleaner again.
Hope that fixes it for you !!
