To calibrate your analog stick, go to the system information screen on your psp, and move your analog stick around in a circle as far out as possible.

The cursor fails to respond, move to top of screen on its own

your analog stick just needs to be calibrated.

Step 1: Go to: Settings>System Settings>System Information

Step 2: Once you see your MAC Address, System Software Version, and Console Nickname, start to rotate the analog stick very slowly around it's entire axis. Then rotate it the other way, very slowly. Let go of it and it should be back in the center of it's axis.

Step 3: Press circle, and it should be fixed.

The analog works fine in the options menu but when

Try calibrating your PSPs analog stick, here's how: 1. Go to Settings>System Settings 2. With the System Information screen displayed, rotate your analog stick in a circular motion (clockwise and counter clockwise). This will adjust the analog stick's range of motion. 3. Exit the Settings then run your game and test the analog stick. (it should be working well by now)
I hope this helps.

Can I take the analog stick out of the psp 3000

i have swapped out alot of parts inbetween psp,s and i do not think that u should have a problem

for examp... switched an slim psp screen out with the 3000 because of the problem that the 3000 screen has. and i have switched analog sticks and mother boards out from one to anther with no problem.

so yes u should be able to do so without harming ur psp.
