How do you get the headlight and cornerlight assembly out of a 2002 Silhouette? There is one clip that attaches them together that I cant get.  Also, the corner lights are attached and can't get them out from the other side.

The headlights are held down by two wing nut plastic bolt on top and the corner lamp is held on by one wing nut bolt from the headlight assembly. Remove the plastic wing nuts from the headlight and corner lamp, once all three wing nuts are removed, the headlight can be removed by pulling straight up and take note of the clips at the bottom of the headlight to where that will slide back into the body frame. The corner light assembly also just pulls straight out and take note to where the clips slide back into the body frame when re-installing the units back together. Take care not to pull to hard that you damage the wire harness, remember to disconnect the wire harness from the light socket at the back of the units. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to try to explain in another way if i didn't make sense. It's harder to explain then to show.

How to remove headlamp assambly in a volvo s60 2002

Hello,

This should be fairly simple, one may have to remove the grille.

  • Remove trimmings on the front bumper cover to allow access to the bolt for removal of the front bumper. The trimming can be removed simply by prying the trimming from the center of the bumper cover using a Philips screw driver.
  • After removing the 2 bolts on the bumper cover, you may open the hood and remove the plastic fasteners on the top of the bumper.
  • To remove the plastic fastener, simply depress the center until click. Do not press too far or the fastener will be damaged.
  • Turn the Torx screw in the wheel well counter clockwise to loosen the catch plate on the bumper. Lift the bumper cover over the catch plate and push the bumper cover forward. This completes the removal of the front bumper cover.
  • To remove the headlight assembly, you will need to loosen the bolt on the retainer near the wheel well. You will then remove the 4 bolts that hold the headlight assembly.
  • There is one bolt on the side of the headlight assembly. Two bolts on top and one at the corner of the lens. They all have the same size bolt.
  • In order to remove the headlight assembly, after removing the bolts, the headlight harness needs to be removed.
  • The next step is to remove the trimming on the lens and removing the clips that hold the lens in place. There are 4 clips. One clips on each side.
  • Once the clips are removed, the lens can be pry open with screw driver. You may want to heat the edge to soften the glue or use an utility knife to scrape the edge. Be extra careful, as the glass can be very sharp if shattered. Please also wear protective gear such as safety goggle and gloves. After this, just reverse the steps to put the headlight back together.
Take care and good luck

Ive removed the locking ring on the rear of the headlight on my 1991 isuzu but cant seem to free the buld assembly to replace the headlight bulb

On some of these headlamps there is a spring clip that you squeeze together to free off the clamp, the locking ring is only for the wiring.

How to install headlamp on a 2002 chevy trailblazer

To change a headlight bulb in the 2002 Trailblazer: I writing this with the orientation of standing in front of and facing the Trailblazer.
Open the hood.
Remove the plastic cover that goes from the left to right over the headlight bracket, radiator, etc. It has 4 plastic pop retainers and 2 sheet metal screws. Remove the grill center bar that passes in front of both headlights. The grill and center bar come off as one piece. Start at one end and carefully pry it out, a little at a time. There are 2 clips at the headlight and 2 clips near the center top of the grill and 2 at the bottom. Two more in the other headlight.
Each headlight has 2 black metal clips that hold the assembly onto the bracket. One is above and behind headlight assembly, towards the right end if you're working on the left headlight (and visa-versa), and the other is under the fender (it pulls up OK, but may take some patience to push it back down when you're done).
Pull the entire headlight assembly forward. I only moved mine an inch or two. On the back of the assembly are round rubber covers. Pull off the one covering the back end of the bulb that needs changing. reach in and turn to bulb clockwise 1/4 turn and it will slip out.
Unhook the connector from the bulb. It has a little catch on it, otherwise it just pulls out.
Connect the new bulb.
Reassemble everything in reverse order.
As I said, the under fender clip that holds the headlight assembly on to the bracket may take some patience. It seemed to slip down OK once I had it in exactly the right position. Either that I needed to reach the required amount of cussing.
Good Luck...

Passenger side head light

glad you asked , its like a saftey pin , you push in on the lower side of that paper clip looking device , as you push in , move it side ways to the left or the right , depending on how your looking at it , its real dumb , just like a saftey pin . by the way there is a recall on the 2002 , 2003 altima headlights , if you see burnt connectors , or crumbly plastic were the actual bulb inserts into the light assembly , take it to nissan , under the headlight campaign , more often they will replace both headlight assemblies , all nice and new and clear . 2 thumbs up !

Front Turn Signal Lamp Replacement

Yes, I would remove the entire headlamp assembly. This is easier than you think. Unscrew the large black plastic nuts (you should be able to use your fingers, if not then use a pair of pliers) which are on top of the headlamp lens (2) and the turn signal lens (1). The turn signal lens also has a metal screw-in stud attached to it. The headlamp lens lifts straight up and is attached to the turn signal lens by a clip at the bottom. The turn signal lens is attached by a clip to the inside fender. You will need to pull / **** the turn signal lens straight towards you to get the clip to disengage. Once you remove both lamps you will see how they fit together to place them back in position. It takes approx 15 minutes to replace a bulb, since the alignment during re-assembly is a bit tricky.

Headlight repain

if this is the kind im thinking of, the spring clip you released holds the bulb into the housing. there should be tabs on the bulb which match the housing. bulb has to be in sraight and can be resecured by folding spring clip over bulb. you should see how it clips on to housing. then can reconnect the wire connector. this can be tricky, be patient and make sure the bulb itself is clean. good luck
