SOURCE: HDTV Sharp- Input select to watch Cable tv

On the sharp remote you will find an input button. You depress the input button and a menu will appear and highlight the input you are presently on. Hit the input button again to select the next input. If you wait to long to depress the input button it will not work and you have to begin again. This unit will only hightlight inputs have a component hooked to that input.

SOURCE: mitsubishi ws65613 no picture or sound, blue screen only

Good day, Bgchzy;
This model is known for the tubes leaking fluid, glucose, on the PCB. Check the front of the chassis for said fluid, it may be only a drop, so look closely.
To fix, after TV has no power, try cleaning the board with cleaner and brush, let dry. I suspect this because of multi unrelated problems.

SOURCE: Vizio VX32L No Display and Can't Power Off

Old messages and bcipollina is gonna get to read this resonse twice; sorry-
If it just fails to turn on or ignores the remote, the main power supply is probably at fault and without some technical background and a couple of test instruments, you will not be able to do the repair yourself.
What you can do though is; unplug the set, let it stand overnight or at least several hours, remove the back panel and look for a separate board with mostly larger components on it; it will have a ferrite core transformer on it and several larger capacitors which are cylindrical and mounted vertically to the board.

Before touching anything inside, especially on that board, allow several hours to be safe since the larger capacitors can hold a painful voltage charge for some hours.

If you see signs of overheating such as discoloration of the board material, it may not be repairable but if you can find a part number on the board, you might be able to buy the power supply and install it yourself.
If there are no signs of heat damage to the board, there may be companies offering to repair it as a subassembly instead of repairing the whole set which could be much more expensive.
If you choose to replace or have it done, the power supply still may not be at fault since most are capable of switching on and off if a downstream problem is causing an overload.

BTW, from what I have read about Vizio, I think they are close relatives to iLo which was also sold by Wal-Mart.
Quality control anyone?

My Bruhm 32 curve tv is stuck in usb mode, and i dont have remote

If your Bruhm 32-inch curved TV is stuck in USB mode and you don't have a remote, there are a few different things you can try:
  1. Try using the buttons on the TV itself: Some TVs have buttons on the side or bottom of the screen that can be used to navigate menus and settings. Look for buttons labeled "menu," "input," or "source" and see if you can use them to switch to a different input or exit USB mode.
  2. Unplug the TV: Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the TV and clear any issues with the USB mode.
  3. Obtain a replacement remote: If you don't have a remote, you may need to purchase a replacement. Check with the manufacturer or a retailer that sells Bruhm TVs to find a compatible remote.
  4. Use a universal remote: If you have a universal remote, you may be able to program it to work with your Bruhm TV. Consult the manual for your universal remote or contact the manufacturer for assistance in programming the remote.
If none of these steps work, you may need to contact Bruhm customer support for further assistance.

Our screen turns blue and goes to new devices input. We have nothing else connected to tv except Brighthouse cable box. If we push the exit button on the tv remote it then goes to showing a cable box and...

Your TV probably has multiple "inputs" (coax, HDMI, component, et cetera). Use the "input" (or "source") button on your TV to cycle through all those available "input" streams.

If you select "coax", and there is *NO* coax cable connected to the back of the TV, you *WILL* see the "blue-screen". Select a different source that is "active".

TCL Blue Screen "No Media"

I HAVE FOUND THE ANSWER!!!! I just bought an TCL TV last night and was given the wrong remote. Screen was stuck on "no media" screen BUT I noticed that when I turn the tv on and keep pressing the menu button, the menu screen would pop up for a half second before the no media screen popped up again. So I knew it was able to access it. SO, it took a few try's and with no exact method I turned the tv on, waited til I saw the TCL logo and then simultaneously pressed the menu and channel up button repeatedly. It will open the menu for you and allow you to move between the input channels!!!! It WILL take a few tries to catch it but it worked!!! Your welcome!!!!

I have a Philips 51PW9303 Rear Projection TV that had blue shadows around the sides of the screen and now has a green and red bowed line at bottom. Does I need a convergence board to solve this?

If the following doesn't work the tubes could be at the end of life:
Adjusting convergence:
Note: For best results, the Projection TV needs to be turned on for 15 minutes or longer before adjusting the picture tubes (convergence).

To adjust the convergence of the picture tubes:
  1. Press the 'MENU/SELECT' button on the remote.
  2. Press CURSOR RIGHT to enter the PICTURE menu.
  3. Use CURSOR DOWN and RIGHT to select and enter MANUAL CONVERGE.
  4. Press CURSOR RIGHT to select CONVERGE RED or press CURSOR RIGHT and DOWN to select CONVERGE BLUE.
  5. A crosshair will be shown on the screen. If there is any red or blue fringe around the crosshair, use CURSOR RIGHT, LEFT, UP, DOWN to try and merge the fringe colors with the crosshair.
  6. Press the 'MENU/SELECT' button to return to MANUAL CONVERGE menu.
  7. Press the 'EXIT' button to exit the menu.
If you are satisfied with the convergence you may stop now. Otherwise, you can continue and adjust the convergence more using mult ipoint convergence.
To Adjust multipoint convergence:
  1. Press the 'MENU/SELECT' button on the remote.
  2. Use CURSOR RIGHT to enter the PICTURE menu.
  3. Use CURSOR DOWN and RIGHT on the cursor ring to select and enter MANUAL CONVERGE.
  4. Press CURSOR RIGHT and DOWN on the cursor ring to select MULTIPOINT RED or MULTIPOINT BLUE.
  5. A grid of crosshairs will appear on the screen. If there is any red or blue fringe around any of them, press CURSOR RIGHT to enter NAVIGATE mode.
  6. Use CURSOR RIGHT, LEFT, UP, and DOWN to move to a crosshair that has a color outline.
  7. Press the 'EXIT' button to enter ADJUST mode.
  8. Use CURSOR RIGHT, LEFT, UP, and DOWN to merge the color with the crosshair.
  9. Press the 'STATUS/EXIT' button to return to NAVIGATE mode. Repeat as necessary.
  10. Press the 'MENU' button to return to the MANUAL CONVERGE menu.
  11. Press CURSOR DOWN until SAVE MULTIPOINT is selected.
  12. Press CURSOR RIGHT to save the multipoint settings.
  13. Press the 'EXIT' button to exit the menu.

I have problems with my LCD HAIER TV. I put my USB and now i cant return to TV Mode. What i should do?

There should be a button on your remote that says "TV/USB". Try clicking it, that should take you to a blue screen that says No Signal, click Input, and you should be able to access your cable from the list of Input sources. This happened to me today, very annoying and unnecessarily confusing, especially since most buttons you press result in a screen that reads "Not Available." Urrgghhh.
