hi kostas. Condensation runs down the back of the fridge and collects in the gully sitting at the back of the fridge where the water is then channelled through the drain hole into a container which sits on the compressor, it's then evaporated away.
Leaking Refrigerators Leaking Refrigerators
I hear a lot of complaints from people that see water leaking into their refrigerator from seemingly nowhere. Water appears in different places and even inside or under a refrigerators that does not have a water or a ice dispenser! Frost free refrigerators defrost the ice that collects on the evaporator coil on the average of about every 8 hours so the water that accumulates during defrost has to go somewhere right? That's normal especially if you tend to leave the door open alot. Moisture from the outside air condenses and drips to the bottom. Also, if the refrigerator is automatic self-defrosting it will melt ice collecting around the refrigerator and the resulting water will collect at the bottom. Check under the food drawers for a drain hole. If it is clogged, clean it out. If it doesn't exist, periodically sponge out the bottom under the drawers.
Look inside at the back to see if there is a collecting troff which collectes the water runing down the cool plate. In the middle of the troff is a run off hole which takes the water outside to the back to an evaporation tray. if this hole gets blocked it floods the fridge and you know the rest. Some fridges have a looped plug which you pull out of the troff hole to clear the blockage. I know this as my fridge does this too.
Two solutions 1 If a frost free fridge/freezer - ice build up in internal cooler - defrost totally until no more water 2 if ordinary fridge/freezer look inside at the back, you should see a very shallow 'V' shaped plastic channel running to a small drain hole which leads to the rear outside of the unit. This channel collects the water drips from the cooler Clear this hole with a pipe cleaner or cocktail stick or similar
It is a normal case. The water accumulated is probably from the defrosted ice from the freezer.A container is generally placed in position to collect this accumulated water. It might be either full or blocked. To check it just use a sponge and try to clean the container and check for the next defrost.Good luck with the machine. Please do rate my solution if accepted.
This refrigerator look like mine (Picture). Mine did the same thing. If it is the same then this is what I did. Look under the there is a collection tray. This tray collect the water. At the bottom of the refrigerator (Inside where the water collect) is a cap. The cap has cap would have holes or a slot that allow the little water to fall to the collection tray. Mine has slots and was block up. clean it out and that should do it. The water should be able to fall to the tray at the bottom. I do hope this help you.
Cleaning the calcium carbonate accumulated inside the boiler.Put only 200 ml of water in the water tank then add a 100 grams of citric acid cristals.Do not use coffee holder and open the machine and wait the heater ready lamp .Start the pump .Collect the pumpes acidic water in a cup. When the cup is filled stop the pump and recyle the water collected in the cup to water tank.Ater repeating this recycling 2 -4 times all crystals will be dissolved and the boiler will be filled with this weak acid solution.Wait the machine closed 2 hours. Then put fresh water and run the pump and remove the solution. Now your machine is free of scales inside the boiler. You will notice less noise during boiling of water inside the boiler(not pump noise). After some usage if you notice again that high noise of water boling it is time for another cleaning.
