Are you sure you have the right model #?
Your refrigerator's model number may vary by type. The model number of a top freezer refrigerator can be seen along the upper left side wall of the fresh food compartment and is visible when the door is opened. The model number of a french door and side-by-side refrigerator can be seen along the upper right side of the fresh food compartment and is visible when the door is opened.
if you look down at the bottom of the freezer door you'll see a door stop, two 5/16 inch screws hold it in place, the stop on the fridge door must of broke.you can switch it from the freezer to the fridge door for now until you get a new one.part number is WR02X13425 and it's around 5 dollars.give your parts store the model number and they will take care of you,or go here, pick any topic here, put your model number in,to the right of the model it will as model or part number, pick model and click on it and your machine will come up,click on fresh food door, your part is numer 12 and you can order it from sears if you want.let me know how you make out
open the door, remove the screws that hold the door on and the two screws accross from them, pull off the front panel gut keep the door on.now remove the two L brackets that hold the top on,lift up the top.put the machine in the spin cycle and see if the wax motor is pushing the plunger all the way over to make contact with the micro switch, the lock door light will lite and then a few seconds after the plunger should hit the switch,if it doesn't push the black plastic button piece in on the switch a few times and listen for a clicking sound.if it's clicking put it back into spin and after the door lock light comes on push the black button in and hold it in to see if it spins in high spin,if it does change out the micro switch.or with a meter put the tester wires on the clips that the wires slide onto and push the button in and out and see if it opens and closes,if it checks good and it spins on high spin when you push the black button in then you have a bad wax motor,it's not pushing the plunger over all the way.if both parts are good then you have a bad inertial switch.it's on the right side of the tub,you have to pop off the right side boot seal and remove the screws that hold the right side of the front shroud in place, pull the right side of the shroud out so you can get your hand in there to remove the inertial switch and change it out. part number 22003302.it's around 40 dollars.i couldn't find the micro switch or the wax motor but you can give the parts store the model number and they will help you out.a few times it was the micro switch so i would start there.let me know how you make out
This is a typical symptom of a lid switch problem. If you open and close the lid, you should
hear a "clicking" sound as the lid switch is activated. If you do not
hear the switch, check to make sure the lid strike in still intact.
This is a small plastic piece mounted on the lid that pushes down on
the switch through a slot on the wash tub opening on the right hand
side. If this piece breaks off, it will give the same symptoms of a
broken lid switch. Next, check the two mounting screws on the right
side of the wash tub opening to make sure they are tight. These are the
mounting screws for the lid switch. Sometimes they come loose and the
switch does not make proper contact. If you attempt all these
preliminaries, and the switch still does not seem to be working
properly, replace it. A replacement can be found at
searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your model number and the part will
be located under the "Top and Cabinet" heading as item number 11 (Part
