I have a Canadian spa swift and the pump is beeping with error code E7 can anyone help

E7 is a DRY heater fault.

Check the following first:
1) Water level - Have you filled the spa with enough water?
2) Filters - Are the filters blocked, when did you last clean/replace the filter?
3) Is the circulation pump running? If you can hear the pump, can you see/feel the water circulating? If you can't feel the water circulating but you can hear the pump, then you may have an air lock within the pump/heater.

Canadian Spa Co. do offer their own repair service for these spas. Basically they collect the faulty pump unit, repair it and then send it back. Although it isn't cheap and you should check the basics first.

Good luck,
Ian Kime.

We've bleed we've changed thermostat the water housing tank , in an o4 Sebring what's sign of bad water pump

Noise coming from water pump when engine is running, very slow or virtually no circulation of coolant in the radiator. To hear if the water pump bearing is going out..Take a long screwdriver or tire iron and touch and hold against water pump while engine is running, put ear to other end..works like a stethoscope..just be careful you have it in a steady place on water pump so belt doesn't turn it into a projectile!
if you feel like its the water pump, take serpentine belt off and see if pulley on water pump has any play up or down or front to back, and spin with hand should spin freely...if has play or doesn't spin freely or you can hear, usually a kind of whining noise coming from water pump, it needs replacing. The water pump also has a small hole onthe bottom side, if the diaphragm in waterpump goes bad it will usually have a slow steady drip coming from the hole. Have you had the radiator pressure tested?

I have a whirlpool Adp8540 that seems to go through the wash cycle completely but when we open it up the water has not gone through the spraying arms and the soap is a solid mass at the bottom of the...

It is likely the water circulation system is faulty. This dishwasher uses a single motor to run the water pump and the drain pump. If you hear the wash pump operate during wash cycle then it is likely there is a blockage in the water circulation manifold which distributes the water through the arms.

If you do not hear the pump operate during wash cycle then the sensor is faulty. The sensor tells dishwasher to switch to drain cycle from wash cycle.

Asko 1875 had a new main board, wax motor and temp thermistor fitted 6 months ago. now thw machine pumps in the water but does not wash what could be the problem

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description and provided the dishwasher is indeed 1) an Asko 1875 and 2) filling with water, draining, heating, but not circulating, It sounds like a busted wash impeller within the main motor/circulation pump, unfortunately.

First though, do you hear a quiet sound of the wash motor starting once the unit has completed filling with water ? And be sure the unit is actually filling with water, this image below indicates the normal water level to look for....

The pump will be super quiet if the wash impeller is broke as I suspect it may be...almost like a fountain, since the Asko are very quiet under normal conditions. You will have to either get right down with your ear to the bottom or run it with the door open by activating the door switch with a screw-driver and look for visual/audible clues.

If so that is a tell tale of no wash action yet the motor runs, hence broken impeller. If you don't hear anything it may be a wire come off the main motor/circulation pump...but not likely.

This unfortunately is common with Asko built dishwasher`s and it is a case of being a victim of their own design.

What happens typically is the ball-bearings from the upper rack holders ( which are plastic, hence fatigues due to heat and fall apart ) come out making their way into the sump, hence breaking the wash impeller from the motor.

Let me know what you find and I'll try and help you move forward from there. If you need direction to remove the circulation motor and pump I can do that, but it is a pretty involved repair and requires pulling the unit from the cabinet...you may opt to call in a pro.

I'll watch for your reply and try to help in any manner I can.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Grundfos installation with Buderus boiler. Pump which is assigned to hot water throughout house, seems to be working (noise and vibration indicate that) but hot water doesn't pass the valve. Pipe below...

Do you have more than one zone? If so, it is difficult to tell if the circulator in question is actually running. A trick is to get a screwdriver and place the metal end on the front of the circ and the other on your ear. You will hear it if it is running. If you do hear it, is the circulator itself very hot to the touch? If it is, it may be burnt out, or the zone needs to be bled of air. Another doubtful, but possible, answer is that the circulator is installed backwards. There is an arrow on it and it should be aimed towards the flow of water.

If circulation is better when you pull the cleaner from the water the problem may be in your hose's. With the pump running pull the hose's from the water one at a time to see if you hear air leaking into the hose's and then replace the bad ones. Hope this helps, good luck

Rayburn boiler runs heating system, radiators tepid

What is the temp at the boiler? there is a temp/ presure guage it should read 160-180F. If that is OK then check the circulating pump. When the thermostat is turned up you should hear a little water moving through the piping as you have adjusted the system. If you hear nithing circulating you may have a defective pump.

Good Luck, Phil
