No users guide. Took out the cartridges and reinserted them. Pressed the select buttons as requested to identify the cartridges being installed. When selecting the saved option, the printer went to error#1203. I need to print a boarding pass for the airline 7/23.
Was trying to make color copies and got the 1203 error. I tried cleaning and still have the same error. Any other suggestions?

Was sending thru' a fax and before it finished, the error # 1203 appeared and informed to consult my user's guide which I don't have. Tried to do an alignment and test page and won't allow this step.
Check to see if any ink is smeared inside the holder where the contact panel is located. Normally gold contacts.
Clean off the contacts with a paper towel or q-tip.
Then try reprinting the alignment page. Then print the test page a few times.
Hope this helps

I had the same problem, and I took the advice to clean my printer heads...All i done was take out both, color and black ink cartridges, wiped them with a dry towel very softly, and reinserted them. It came up with 2 messages to confirm the colors item number, i pressed select like 6 times, then it printed an alignment page...I was good to go from there! Good luck to others!
