Oh your bringing me back to the early days of my appliance repair career when i only serviced coin operated washers and dryers. Not in the coin box but the cover on top where you would get access to the timer is a bolt that holds the coin slide to the coin box asm. remove that bolt(if i remeber from 25 years ago its a 5/16th inch hex head and brass colored) and the coin slide will come out and then gotta kinda genlty presuade it in with a hammer so the coin will drop through or pull on the handle ya would push, to free it up and remove stuck coin

if not you will have to run a wire through and a frictioned and magnetised coin might help
if you can you will have to dismantle this part in trying to release it

It is easy to do... Just take the cover's off that will expose where the coin op wire is pluged into the copier. It is a 4 wire clip, I believe. Turn the copier Off and cut the wire on the coin op side and strip the wires. Of the wire's that are there you only need to have two of the wires jumed togather.to make the copier to work. I don't know how many wires are there they may have 2 or 6 or 10, it depends who made it. If you are lucky they may have left the jumper clip in the copier, just connect it again. If not jump two wires and turn copier ON and see it the display is un-locked. If not try another set. It is trial and error. You should be able to fix it. Good Luck

1. purchase a coin insert and blank the slot that coins fit in, then the slide will slid in without coins, just acting like a button, if you examine the slide you wil notice that there are plastic inserts in unused coin slots, any maytag commercial dealer has them.
2. replace coin slide with 'free operation' converter, which is just a button plate that pushes the striker on the timer switch
3. take top cover off and just push the striker on the timer, (this is NOT) a recommended option, 220v is enough to spoil you whole day)

mechanical coin op timers come without the shut off cam installed
there are slots around the edge corresponding to different times, that take a pin cam. the pin cam is in the box for the installer to insert to the owners specification, between 24 and 60 minutes in 6 minute intervals usually, hope you retained the packaging, or the old timer which should have its cam pin still in it

electronic coin op timers have to be programmed

These machines are owned by a company or your Landlord you will need to contact them for the repair on the Coin slide
