Yes you can. Let them have the frame number and as long as the switch hasn't been changed, it should be no problem.

Most dealers do not keep the original key number, it is sometimes written amongst the handbook and other paperwork you receive, if you do not have any luck with your dealer and cannot find the key number, try removing the actual ignition and taking it to a master locksmith, if you have a helmet/seat lock and it is the same as your main key than it may be easier to remove those locks, a master locksmith can cut the original key for your barrel/ignition.
