Bearing is going out in washer, bought it in 2014.. not happy. can it be fixed?

Hi... You have the tub bearing going bad.. Its going to cost lots to fix it

this coild be easy fix ... remove front cabinet and verify internal hoses or pump... if coming down bottom of tub the its tub seal and bearing and u arent gonna be happy on price very extensive repair and requires a specialty tools...very expensive usually around $300.00 parts and labor

The problem is that the seals are leaking and allowing water to attack the tub bearings.
You need new tub seals and bearings.....not as difficult as it may seem.

Hi just read your posting.Now does the machine drain?When the machine stops does the machine beep and show an error code in lit lights?Please reply with additional information and I can help you rectify this fault.

Was the machine level to begin with? If it not level to start then it can keep going of balance until it is fixed.
Make sure you are level from front to back and from left to right.
Start another load and see how it works.

Yes its true the main support bearing is part of the outer tub and is factory set .Dry bearing will roar until it develops a leak and eventually starts a main pulley shake that will cut through the back of the outer tubs shell.The outer tub costs about $175.00(varies)the labor (please sit down)yes, is high enough for you to go out and find your self a 15 year old Maytag top load, re-build it,scrap the front load,and never see a repairman for the next 15 Years.No joke!                             I/m happy to help you with anything you need a answer to.............Sorry about your Maytag    :(
