Question about Philips Standard 107S 17" CRT Monitor
When i, turn on my monitor, the led is on, there are sound like jlek and jlek again. the screen still blank. no signal test
This monitor is trying to start but can't. The sound you're hereing is the B+ supply coming on and trying to start the high voltage system. Something down line, either the high voltage transformer or the Horizontal output circuit is faulty. I have repaired thousands of these. Generaly at $100. to $150. depending on parts. You can spend it to my company for repair or take to a local serviceman. If you decide to junk it and but a LCD monitor I would have to agree.
