Need to unplug and check both sides for burn marks or signs of heat. Like in photo below

If you should need to order a board here is the link just enter WR55X10656 into the parts search feature and click find it.

If for some reason the board looks OK then we need to feel the compressor to see if it is too hot to the touch. Then the problem will be most likely the start relay, start capacitor and overload. All located on and near the compressor. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Have you removed the cover on the rear of the refrigerator so you can test by listening there with the cover off? There also is a fan located next to the compressor and behind the rear wall of the freezer compartment.

Refrigerator keeps clicking and isnt cooling

The small box is probably the compressor start device and this starts the compressor. They go bad. You will have to remove this "box" and replace the start device. when you remove it shake it it should not rattle. If it does then it more than likely is the problem.

Fridge just quit. No fan, compressor, or ice / water. The only thing working is the lights. I can here something ticking from behind the back panel???

This is going to be the main board. Pull it out and remove the cover off the board. If the noise is comming from there then you know the board is bad. This page should help more

Model kbr20etss01 very noisy when compressor is running

If the noise seems to be coming from the compressor That's usually mounts inside the compressor. It could still last awhile so if you can put up with the noise just wait for it to quit before replacing the compressor or getting a new fridge.
Also you have two fans which run when the compressor runs. One is next to the compressor and the other is behind the rear cover inside the freezer. One of them can be hitting something or the fan motor itself could be making the noise which would be a bad motor.

A clicking sound was coming from behind my fridge and the temp display was not working. digital display. the light in the fridge comes on but the fridge is not working What could it be?

You have a bad main control board , located on the back of the refrig , behind an 8" X 10" panel . Part number WR55X10942 . This control board , usually clicks when the compressor tries to start , or when the compressor cooling fan tries to start . It also controls the display .

I have a model # HTS22GBMBRCC Hoypoint Refrigerator. the fan in the back runs all the time and I the fan inside the freezer is running all the time. Neather the Freezer or the frig is getting cold. I have...

Your model has no defrost timer . It works off a main control board . If there is frost on the rear panel inside the freezer , then you have a defrost problem . This would be another paragraph ( but let us know if there is frost and someone will be glad to help ) . If not any frost , then the compressor may not be running . If the compressor not running , main control board is bad Pt # WR55X10942 . You will have to pull out refrig and remove the panel covering at the bottom to check . The main control board , is behind the 8 " X 10 " panel at the top left , behind the refrig .

Refridge quit cooling suddenly inboth freezer

That could be a broad range of possibilities. The defrost timer, adaptive defrost board, compressor start relay, compressor start capacitor or a mother board. Would you happen to have the model number so I can narrow down those possibilities? If you pull away from wall remove cover over the compressor and then unplug. Touch the compressor and let me know if cool, warm or too hot to touch. Thanks, Sea Breeze
