I just installed a Kenmore dryer that is about 15 years old. My problem is the heat only stays on for about 20 seconds then after 2 minutes it comes back on for 20 seconds and so on. What could my problem be?

Same problem here with maytag MDG16CSBWW - vent clean - new T - stat hi limit , new Flame sensor , new Gas valve with coils - and still the same problem ---- any ideas ? please help.

The problem you describe sounds like an airflow problem. Make sure the vent is clear and if you have a plastic vent hose make sure it is not kinked.
If the vent is blowing freely then it may be a thermostat cutting out to quickly.
Post back and let me know what you find or if you have any questions.

Also, you would need to check the flame sensor if the vent is free.
