The 50% useage of the CPU is the problem not a fan issue. You have a memory glitch or IRQ setting causing this. Go back to basics look for a Video problem or shared memeory - does this board have onboard video, does it have onboard audio, have you installed a add in video/audio card? Check your bios settings, look at shadow memeory useage.

Shuts down after few minutes

First check CPU Fan, most probably of not spinning in full swing, and turn off due to overheating of CPU. you can put one or two drop of machine oil into fan by removing upper part of sticker (intel original-case may be change according to Fan)

second check PSU, the power will went off if a PSU not supply power in required voltage.

vote me if found he;pfull.

Compaq presario sr2172nx shuts down unexpectedly. Very loud fan. How do I adjust those settings in the BIOS?

The fan is probably heat-sensitive, and your computer is probably overheating, despite having the fan spinning at 100%.

Disconnect the AC power.
Remove the side-panel.
Using a can of compressed-air, give your motherboard & CPU & power-supply a "blow-job", to remove all the dust that has accumulated, and is acting like a blanket that is trapping the heat.

When your computer is running at a lower temperature, you won't need to adjust the BIOS-settings.

Buzzer sound from intel d101ggc motherboard

Check the fans in your pc, it sounds like at least one of them isent working properly and your pc gets overheated. When a pc going to warm it gets really slow and hangs.
My guess is that the CPU-fan dosent work properly and your CPU gets overheated, but check all the fans to be sure. The CPU fan runs cantantly, check so it dosent stop now and then.

Good luck
