If it is just your home page it is a simple fix. If you can’t type an address as in www.yahoo.com in the address bar that is different. If you home page is the problem you can go into the tools-options menu and type the correct url in and save it. If you can’t go to any othe page it sounds like spyware or worse. Get good aitvirus and spyware removal programs and run them on your system. Of course that is hard if you can’t surf to any other site. You might have to take it in for service so they can place your hard drive in a clean system and scan it. If you can give more details I will try and give more specific help. Good Luck

My tagital t9x won't let me sign into a google account, it just keeps saying unable to connect to Google servers. How do i fix this?

The Google servers are at specific IP addresses. If the address cache (the place where your system stores the numeric (i.e. ip) addresses for the things you name, like "google.com", has an entry for Google that is wrong you will get "server not found" because it will try the cached address before asking for one from the Internet (via DNS). If you can clear the local address cache (via "clear Internet cache" if it has it) you might be able to force the system to reset the address to Google and find the Google servers.

Just a thought.

Why cannot i retrieve my email account?

Hi Janet,
how is the account set up in windows live mail . Contact your ISP and ask them if they use POP or IMAP and also ask them what the incoming mail server name is. In Windows Live mail under the file tab there is an options choice in the fall down menu. click on this and check the account settings match the required server settings under the server tab that comes up when you select account.
(ISP stands for internet service provider sorry about the TLA (three letter acroymn) )Your ISP may guide you through the setting up of all these settings if you ask them nicely .
. Also if your SMPT server name and passwords don't match your ISP you can't send emails out.

When i try to even access the internet on my touch screen huawei m750 phone it displays dns not set on the screen. how do i fix this problem?

Hi,
DNS stands for Domain Name Service. Most DNS errors usually indicate lack of a connection to the internet. DNS is used to translate human addresses (for example, www.bhcblog.com) into computer addresses (like 10.64.254.11) ..
This error occurs due to fault in network, Therefore contact your network operator and ask them to solve the problem. Alternatively you can re-install or recreate the internet profile manually with IP address and DNS server address... for this also you should contact your network operator and ask them to provide you the IP and DNS Server address...
Hope this has helped you.. THanks

Bought a printer server called Networking USB LPR Print server. It`s softwear does not support OKI but the install wizzard asks for installation disk from OKI. When I start the OKI driver installation...

  1. log into router
  2. look at the leases issued by the dhcp server in the router
  3. note the ip address assigned to the printer
  4. change the lease to be permanently leased to the printer server
  5. the print server will have a device name . you should be able to figure out which ip address is assigned / leased to it .
  6. You never assign a print server , or server or printer with a temporary dhcp ip address ! hence why you should change the lease of it to permanent .
  7. Then it will be assigned the same ip address by the dhcp server .

Uses for DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP

DHCP: Domain Host Computer Protozoic. Basically an Address serving device, a "Client" "Asks" the DHCP "Server" for an "Address" on the network it is communicating on. THe DHCP Server, then sends that particular "Client" the ADDRESS, which, the device then "Stores" and Can then be identified by and Identify with that address when required.
Basically it is a Name Giver, and Finder.
DNS: Is Domain Name Server, Similar to a DHCP server, but in this case the device Translate Words and letters into an address, so the the DHCP server and other numerical only devices, can Ask for and Receive from "Other " "Addresses", that were described initially as Word Address, EG: WWW.Address.com, translates to (just say), 123.456.678:90.
If a device cannot "Understand" the Alphanumeric Address is then "Asks: the DNS, server, to "Translate" it into a "Numerical" one, that it can understand.
Basically it is a Translator.
TCP/IP: Transmission Control Protocol, Over, the Internet Protocol. It is basically a encryption algorithm, applied to all/any signals, that is then, introduced to, and transmitted to, and received over, the Internet Protocol signal, (Internet Standards of Operation) The Signal the internet operates "On". It is the bench mark, the correct way of doing it, a set of Rules.
Basically a Encryption vehicle and set of rules & standards.

Can recieve e mails, cannot send or reply to in-comming mail.all messages come up as failed delivery.no problem when first connected

1. Change the settings in your email software so that the email account you're using designates an Outgoing Email Service that your internet service provider won't block. Your internet service provider should provide you with the address of an acceptable Outgoing SMTP Mail Server. This information is often listed on their website; if it isn't, call their technical support and ask them the address of their Outgoing Email Server. Then go into your email software and change your current Outgoing SMTP Address to the one your ISP requires.
2. After you designate a SMTP address not restricted by your ISP, you may still receive the following error:
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78
Now you are reaching the Outgoing SMTP Mail Server, but it won't process your request without further authorization. You will need to go into your Email Software and find the setting that indicates that your Outgoing SMTP requires further authorization. Select this setting and enter the username and password required by your ISP (or reqired by who ever is the administrator of the Outgoing SMTP Mail Server that's not blocked by your ISP). For example, at the time this article was written MSN Internet Service's SMTP Address was: (secure.smtp.email.msn.com). However, this email server won't allow you to use it unless you send your MSN username and password along with your request to send email.
