Question about Meade ETX-125EC (500 x 127mm) Telescope
First the horizontal motor stopped. I turned off the system and when I restarted the horizontal was still dead but the vertical worked. I tried to restart it again and now it does not move on either axis. After inspection both motors are fine when given direct power from a 3v source. No signs of shorts on any of the boards. Trying to update Autostar now, any other ideas would be very much appreciated.
The ETX125 is notorious for bad motor control. Weasner's Mighty ETX web site has links to repair centers that are more reasonable than Meade. They also have a QA section to assist with diagnostics.
