Most times it just pulls off. some times it is secured with a screw check to see if there is a screw.

Kohler pop up plug staying closed

The plug has a little hole in the end - that rocker-arm lever fits through the hole. If the plug gets turned 90 degrees to the side before installing the lever, the lever won't go through the holeand the popup won't pop up. Pull the lever back out, rotate the plug 90 degrees with your fingertips or thumb, and put it back in. It may take several tries.

Blocked kitchen drain

Due to pop up style drains they have mechanism in pipes and hair tends to wrap around it and over time it dangles down and slowly builds up blocks it. My tip would be to go underneath and unscrew it from basin and s bend pipe and just remove stuff from that point, just make sure you lay old towel in cabinet to catch all the water from pipe.

if you look under neath your vanity you will see where the plunger goes into the drain pipe. remove it and see if your activator rod is there, if so this is what screws into the plug end. if it is not there remove your U section and see if it is in there and reattach it. if it is broken you will have to get a repair kit at your local hardware store.

How do you replace drives side exeior door handel for 95geoprizm

1) Remove the plug inside the interior armrest and remove phillips screw.
2) Remove armrest and two screws that hold door panel to door frame.
3) Pop the outer cover off the interior door handle.
4) Remove the interior lock knob and remove door panel by popping out tabs connected to door frame and lifting up off of window ledge.
5) Remove the two nuts holding exterior handle in place.
6) Disconnect the L shaped linkage from the handle. The trick to getting the L shaped linkage into the new handle is to feed L shaped metal pole through hole in door where exterior handle was, leaving the lower end of this linkage in its slot.
7) Feed the end of L shaped pole through the plastic 'hinge' in new handle by folding the hinge over and pushing the end of the L through both sides of the plastic hinge at once. slide the lower loop of the plastic hinge down the L shaped pole to secure pole to handle.
8) Place new handle into door and reverse the process to reinstall interior panel.

Hope this helps Tim

Some of the drain plugs have holes or slots in them so that the stopper can not be removed without taking the actulating lever out from under the sink. This rod is part of the linkage that is hooked to lift rod on top, Unscrew retaining nut to remove rod so you can take stopper out. Remember that any water that is in sink is going to run out of this hole once you remove rod. Good luck and thank you.

How do you clean a bathroom sink drain with a cable operator?

You will need to remove the cable operator assembly first. Under the sink, unscrew (turn it counterclockwise) the operator with your hand. Then remove the butterly-shaped retainer and use a needle nose pliers to remove the cam assembly...don't get too rough. Pay attention to which way they both fit.

Once the cam is removed, you can remove the pop-up stopper and proceed as required to clean the drain. Re-assemble in reverse order. Do not overtighten the cable operator.

You will have to change out the waste and overflow. This is not a hard job, unscrew drain from tub, remove overflow plate and disconnect from p-trap. Go to local home improvement store and buy a new waste and overflow kit, many to choose from. Reinstall .

I am trying to remove the pop-up drain

To clean the drain simply remove the packing nut off the back of the pop-up assembly. This is located under the sink itself and will be on the back side of the chrome (might be plastic) pipe coming out of the drain hole. This nut is what is holding the rod in place. When you remove it be sure not to lose the ferule (nylon washer) inside. after the nut is off, you can pull the actual stopper out and have better access to the drain inside. Use a small hair remover (you can buy these at the "depot"), it has a long body with small "spines" coming off the sides to catch hair, to pull out hair. It should be long enough to get into the P-Trap. After you are satisfied you can put the stopper back in. Make sure the hole in the bottom of the stopper is lined up to catch the rod. Reassemble the packing nut with ferule and check for leaks. If you want to take the trap off be sure to have some 'pipe dope' on hand to reseal the threads. Teflon tape is not necessary. Reassemble the trap and check for leaks and you should be good to go. Good luck :).

Initial set up WMA 30

Hey mike mate problem with the washing machine is minor, however your gonna have to get the top off the machine to get to it.

It seems to me that the plastic tubing connected to the pressure swtich has come away. OR is damaged leaking air. However it is common for it to come off in delivery especially when its an old machine and has no transit brackets.

Theres only two screws to undue, their near the front on either side of the machine.. located behind two oblong caps. remove caps remove screws and push the top back and off.. the swtich is directly behind the soap draw. it has two single wires and two wires on a plug attached.. DONT REMOVE THESE.
THE PRESSURE SWTICH COMES IN TWO SHAPES EITHER ROUND OR OBLONG BOTH HAS A LITTLE TUBE STICKING OUT THE BOTTOM..
Check to see if a plastic tube is connected to it and running down to the filter compartment. most likey it aint hence causing it to overflow..
