Try an updated driver for the printer (download it from the HP website). Its possible that the current software installed on your computer may be incompatible with your OS. Be sure to uninstall the current software before doing this. It could also be that you have a bad cable connected to your printer.

If you are getting correct test page without errors, simply unplug your printer's USB Connection from PC. uninstall Printer drivers and software. restart PC.. Re-Install New Copy of Drivers and Software.. THEN PLUG THE PRINTER USB CABLE TO PC.. try printing after proper driver is installed..

I have re-installed my printer. It prints, but doesn't print anything what's going on?

I think you mean it sheet-feeds but does not print. If so, power off. If network connected, power off the print server. Power all back on after a minute. Depress power button on printer for 10 seconds.

If auto test page prints, problem is with printer configuration on your computer. Check the configuration carefully. Did you uninstall with the HP Scrubber utility before you did the re-install?

In If the test sheet feeds but does not print, use the HP printer utility, check ink levels, check cartridge "expiration", and clean heads several times. Test again.

It takes 30 minutes to print a page

Press and release OK and CANCEL buttons on the unit and release. This will print a self test report. Check the timing. It should not take more than a minute to print a self test page. If it does, please let me know.

HP 1610 prints color blocks all over a black and white page.

You are lucky you can print ANYTHING! My unit has NEVER worked (3 years) due to a hardware defect of HP. I downloaded patches, cleaned/replaced cartridges, etc.
Spoke to HP last nite-Was told printer was junk-they don't carry it or any parts to fix it anymore!! I was told to replace it!
