Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop
I bought an Acer 3680-2682 few months ago. Computer was working perfectly until i tried to connect an external monitor (TV) using the S-Video hook to it. When i did this the screen on the laptop went crazy and all the display setting were changed automatically. Immediately i stop what i was doing and set the screen and display seeting to their defaults. By then the computer worked well but when i restarted it i noticed the monitor start flickering at start-up, up to 3 times until i finally stops. Everytime i start the computer when it is almost completely boot the monitor starts flickering. It does the same even when waking the system up from sleep mode I tried to solved it using the system restore but it didnt worked. Have you heard of soemthing like this...is there any recommendations??? Lerolero
Ok we must remember when we setup any device on our PC, one of the many non PnP devices is and LCD Monitor, your PC should always be shutdown before installing a new Monitor. If you did not do this you could have damaged the I/O port on your PC. Not a definite, but possible! When you plug up a monitor or any serial cable while the PC is still on, it is of a low voltage which can casue some issues for you! Sounds like this one is yours!
