The leveling jact are on the front. you would want a little lean to the back so if you close the doors and the freezer draw the don't lose their seal

How many cubic feet is the 106.5942801 model?

1 Open the refrigerator door. Measure the depth of the refrigerator
from the front edge of the refrigerator opening to the back wall. Make sure that you measure in feet and not in inches. Note the depth measurement on a piece of paper.
2 Measure the height and the width of your refrigerator's opening. Note the two additional measurements on your paper. Multiply the depth, height and width measurements to obtain the refrigerator's cubic foot measurement.
3 Take the same measurements from the interior of the freezer. Multiply those measurements together to get the cubic foot size of your freezer.
4 Add the cubic foot measurement of the refrigerator interior to the cubic foot measurement of the freezer interior. This gives you the total cubic foot measurement for the refrigerator.

Why Bottom freezer drawer wont stay open

Freezer and refrigerator doors aren't usually supposed to stay open. The units are usually installed so that they're slightly tilted to the back to make sure gravity will close the doors if you forget to. If you are SURE - I mean really SURE - that you want your freezer to stay open you should check the drawer rails to see if they're adjustable; if they are, trying raising the back of the rails (or lowering the front). If the rails are not adjustable, try adjusting the front feet of your fridge so that the front of the whole unit is just a tiny bit lower than it is now. Don't lower it too much! If you do, the doors won't stay closed; they'll leak cold air and you'll lose food.

How do I level my LG French door bottom freezer refrigerator.

There are screws on the front that raise and lower the wheels or the pads turn. If there is a kick panel below the door, take it off. You should see screws if it has rollers and if not look for pads that have nut shaped adjusters on the top.

Frost in Freezer of BRAND NEW LG FRench Door Fridge!

After converting C to F, I reckon your freezer should be set a bit lower than -2 degrees for five star food storage. I think -15 F should equate to the ideal temperature of about -25 C for five star food storage.

Whatever moisture enters the freezer will become frost. I have not yet seen a freezer that is entirely frost-free and I have no way of knowing whether the amount of frost in your freezer is excessive.
Every time the door is opened, every time somebody exhales while the door is opened and every time unfrozen or barely-frozen food is added there will be moisture and therefore frost...
It is a good idea to use a separate thermometer to check/verify the internal temperatures.

A new fridge or freezer can take a few days to settle and no decisions should be taken before it has been given a fair trial. One point to be aware of is a fridge or freezer that is properly stored and then transported vertically can be switched on as soon as it is delivered but if it has been laid down or severely tilted it should be stood for several hours before switching on. Ignoring this could be detrimental to the performance and/or the life span.

Another important point is the appliance should be adjusted so it is as close to plumb or spirit-level vertical as possible to ensure long life and reliable operation.

What size is my Kenmore 106.56699501 refrigerator

I chatted with someone at Sears. They told me it is approx. 22 cu ft.

Alternatively, you could measure.

The first step is to open the refrigerator door. Measure the depth of the refrigerator from the front edge of the refrigerator opening to the back wall. Make sure that you measure in feet and not in inches. Note the depth measurement on a piece of paper.

Then, measure the height and the width of your refrigerator's opening. Note the two additional measurements on your paper. Multiply the depth, height and width measurements to obtain the refrigerator's cubic foot measurement.

Take the same measurements from the interior of the freezer. Multiply those measurements together to get the cubic foot size of your freezer.

Add the cubic foot measurement of the refrigerator interior to the cubic foot measurement of the freezer interior. This gives you the total cubic foot measurement for the refrigerator.

When I open bottom or top fridge doors they swing all the way open by themselves instead of staying put partially open

Hi,
The fridge needs to be leveled better...
When the doors swing open then gravity takes over and pulls the doors open the rest of the way...
to fix this adjust the legs of the fridge so that it leans just a bit away from the hinge side and back just a bit...then the doors will swing closed by themselves...

The back legs may have to be shimmed and the front leg adjustments are usually right behind the front cover at the floor...sometimes there are screws there to adjust the back legs from the front also...

Our GE upright freezer door keeps opening on its own! Our food is starting to melt and the manual only talks about tightening the refrigerator door. What should i do?

Your refrigerator is leaning forward to far and you need to adjust the front legs so that it is slightly leaning back. This is why the doors are opening as they work by gravity. On the bottom left and right front corners of your refrigerator you should round pads with threaded legs screwed it the bottom of your refrigerator. You need to lean the unit back and adjust these out to raise the front of your refrigerator until the doors when opened will slowly shut on its own. A level comes in handy for leveling also.

Frozen Water in Pan behind freezer drawer.

yes you will have to remove the freezer door and go through the front of the unit. the door itself is the easy part to get off, it lifts off the rails, you may have to remove a screw a few inches back fromm the freezer door on both freezer rails(phillips head screw, ). empty the freezer pullout before trying to remove. after that the the pull out upper shelf comes and thenyou can remove the horizontal rails , the ice maker drops down and then the back wall can be removed
