Question about Acer Aspire 5610-4648 Notebook

1 Answer

No connection! My Acer Aspire also will not connect to our wireless. It stopped working the other day after i did a full scan and the whole thing froze. Then the internet was spotty, until it simply stopped being connected for the last couple of days. When we punched in the network key, it said that it was incorrect. It is a 4730Z and I have no idea how to solve this! Please help!

Disable wireless then enable it ... or reboot the computer reboot router aswell, in this order broadband modem reboot wireless router, then reboot the laptop it should pick up the router and connect... see if you can connect to the router with a wired connection from the laptop .... if you can try doing a driver update acer always putting out new drivers for the wireless cards

Problem with Acer Emachine and internet onnections!

Sometimes, the order in which u do things makes all the diffference.

1. shut down all machines
2. unplug modem and router
3. plug in just modem and wait for lights
4. plug in router and wait for all lights
5. restart computers

* if your still having an issue and your connection says local connection only then you need to reset the modem and router and then follow the above steps again.

Acer Aspire won't Connect Wirelessly Even with Full Strength

do you have security on your wireless network, password etc. like WEP, WPA, WP2 and the likes. that would be the first thing you need to check, second is the type of wireless card and router you are using, on the laptop you might have a wireless N router and a wireless N card on your laptop which might require higher security. you'll need a WPA2 - personal for the key. that you can configure your wireless router manufacturer. hit me back.

If your wireless network adapter is OK then :-
If your wireless connection is on the Task Bar the right click on this Icon and left click on REPAIR.
If no Icon on Task Bar the click on Control Panel - Network Connections - then right click on your LAN Connection and left click on REPAIR.
This will get your wireless router to issue your wireless card with a new IP address.
