Don't waste your money on Windows 7 for this hardware. P3 @ 550MHz and 512MB (assuming that "KB" was an error) is not enough power for Windows 7. I'll bet that the chip-sets are pretty old and slow too. It may be that Windows 7 is not supported at all (see above link). I would advise you to shop for a new hardware and responsibly recycle this old guy (last driver update was 9 years ago by Biostar).

Having said that, I would not be surprised if Lubuntu Linux ran on it fairly well. But, it sounds like your heart is set on Windows.

The best thing with Intel problem is to use their driver update utility, click here. you need to use Internet Explorer to run this utility as it needs active x enabled browser. this will find your Intel LAN card and the correct driver fro it.

Click here to download drivers for Intel FW82801DB Motherboard fro Intel Official Site. Select the Operating System (e.g. Windows XP and Type of download (i.e. Drivers) and download Intel Graphic Drivers.
