On a Cabelas tournament ZXHS casting reel, is there 1 or 2 pin/spring dealys thst make the drag star wheel click?

Okuma Magda Pro Line Counter Fantantic TROLLING Reel. If you are a serious trolley this is a great great real. The drag is quick in setting, strong and a little sensitive as the drag wheel is all of 3 to 4 turns. But the fact it rotates with the crank I have yet to lose drag setting.
With that it's easy to turn to much in and lose fish because of it. Practice makes perfect. Counter is accurate as long as you have a full real. Mine's at 300ft and 4ft measured with a tape measure shows 5ft on the guage. No big deal as it holds way more line than this. A little math persay and all good. Will be buying my dad one for father's day and probley another one for me as well. Remember this reel was not deigned for true casting like a casting reel is. Trolling is the only reason I have this reel.

Brian Neil here from Dark Side Reelz, the washers that feel off sound like they are the spacing washers responsible for the travel height of the spool. If they came off the main shaft immediately after you removed the spool it self that has to be what they are. on the shaft under the spool itself there should be a small gear that the washers sit on, the gear controls the clicker on the drag if this reel in fact has one. I did a quick search of my schematics and did not find a match if the schematic didn't come in the original boxing chances are youre going to need to contact the manufacturer directly. Have you tried backing off the drag so it's not as tight?

What do you want to know? How to set it up for first time?
1. Spool on some line (start w/mono is not familiar w/bait casters)
2. Installl reel on a rod
3. Set the mag brake to 0
4. Tighten the Cast control nut (next to the star shaped drag control) so it's tightened all the way (don't go crazy and use a lot of force, just set it to the tightest position)
5. Tie on a 3/8 - 1/2 Oz weight or lure - Lure/weight should NOT move at all when you let it go
6. SLOWLY loosen the Cast-control nut (very slowly) until the lure/weight drops slowly about 1/2 turn of the spool
7. Set the Magnetic brake to 5
8. Go practice casting and adjust cast-control and mag brake as needed until you can go without a birdsnest, and you don't ahfve to use all the much thumb control to stop the spool at the end of the cast
9. Practice, practice, practice...

This is what I got from a Daiwa Rep at the Eastern Fishing Expo this weekend in Worcester, Ma and I'll be doing exactly these steps once it warns up enough to go our and play with the new reel and rod (Quantum Energy PT Med/Hvy (6'6").

On the new Pflueger Supreme ( which I own one of) tighten the drag down ( just snug it down) PUSH IN ON THE DRAG STAR, TURN HANDLE; COUNTER CLOCK WISE! Handle will back off...you must keep the drag star compressed until you reach a point it will no longer engage.....DO NOT LOSE THE SPRING behind the drag star. Good Luck.

The star drag wheel unscrewed, just had to us a little force.

Tighten the drag star to expose the black ratch ring. Press the ratchet ring down towards the star drag as you turn the handle backwards to unscrew it from the crank shaft.

To cast the line, you hold down the A button, make a casting motion with your arm, and let go of the A button near the top of your casting arc. Reeling in the line is as simple as moving the Nunchuk in a circular motion or pressing the A button. You can move the line either left, right, or back by moving the Wii Remote in the same direction and increase or decrease the drag on the line by pressing up or down on the D pad on the remote.
