Not really unless you can divertthe hot air from the back side to the outside and and the cool air and intake to the inside, you could do it with some clear tape and some plastic sheeting , but better to build a frame to hold it outside facing in two L brackets then tape it up with some thick plastic.

My CPF11XCL-EW, when put in COOL mode will short cycle once or twice and then the display turns off. Anyone know what the problem is?

there could be multiple thing that could cause this if you are lucky it is in the electronics of the unit but with these portable room air conditioners just like the old window units the tend to get refrigerant leaks easily due to the constant moving around and they do not come with service ports so it could be a low pressure safety switch shutting the unit down find the wiring diagram either on the unit in the owners manual or online if you don't understand it see if you can find someone local that does to test the electrical components if all are good then unfortunately it would be cheaper to purchase a new unit than to have this one serviced

How do I take out the air filter?

The air filter should just pull out from the left side of the air conditioner when you look at it from the front.

The manual for the Haier HWF05XCL is available on the Haier product site: . The direct link is . See page 16 (page 18 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

Why is water leaking on the floor from my haier air conditioner

Window A/C units will dehumidify the rooms as they operate. The unit has drainage at the rear. It is important when installing the unit to ensure that the unit slopes slightly OUTWARD to allow the water to drain to the rear. Otherwise the drain pan fills and the water pours into the room. If the unit IS tilted outward, then check the drainage holes for obstructions.

Haier 5500 window unit, spits water into the room sometimes. Also, water "sloshes" around inside the fan area & is quite noisy sometimes. ? Thankyou for your assistance...

You will need to reposition the unit to where it will be tilted downwards slightly outside.
The water will then flow out the back and not spit into the room.

I have a narrow window. Can an air cond. window unit be put in sideways?

Hello, unfortunatly itncannot be put in sideways because for one it would not cool the room and second it would be very ineficiant.

I have a 6,000 btu Haier a/c unit that I've installed in my home, but I noticed there were no drain hole. Is that a defect ?

No... many of the newer units allow the water to build up and then the fan splashes the water onto the condenser coil to help cool it and also evaporate it...
However you still need to make sure the whole unit is still tipped slightly back so that water will not run into the room...

1 month old Haier 12000BTU Portable Unit LEAKS like mad!

If it has an evaporation pan to "Cook Off" the moisture, it would be putting it back into the air, where it just removed it from. This will, in time cool the room but the humidity is being returned. It is possible however, that drain from the condensor to the collector is clogged, causing it to overflow. If you still have it, install the window exhaust kit that came with the unit. This will help eliminate the humidity from the room and the moisture from the unit.
As for the mols problem, Use a sprayer of choice, depending on how much area you need to spray. Mix unscented CHLORINE bleach with water, 1/2 cup bleach to 1qt water. Spray until surface is wet but it doesn't have to run down the walls, unless you need to treat them too. The chlorine bleach will kill any mold & fungus spores that it contacts. Unscented is a lot easier to live with. The regular smells like a swimming pool for a few days.

Haier room air conditioner doesn't cool maximally at "Hi AC"

You should have at least 5,500 BTU's for that size room. Clean the filter. Turn it on and let it work for a few hours.
