Close door message

The unit should run when out of the cabinet on its track glides. However the small cover lid (door) on top of the machine where you would put Ground Coffee in has a switch sensor on it. The cover acts as a magnetic switch and it must be in the closed position. My display says "close the lid" if left open. Since Thermador tells you to call a repairman for everything (which is hard to find one that can work on it) I've had to take every cover off for dis-assembly and repair. With all covers off the machine the only thing I had to do was to "Jump" the ground coffee wire connecter to make it run with no covers on. It makes great coffee but tough to get repaired. Let me know if that was it.

Using a HP BUSINESS INKJET 2200 displaying message "Attention close all Covers". All covers are closed how do I resolve the problem?

There is a catch in this. As the printer gets used for a long time the sensor flags do not function accordingly hence you need to open the covers and inspect a Black color plastic arm situated in the printer. On the top of the printer and sometimes on your right side in the cartridge access area you can find some small hole which is used by the top covers to trip the sensor inside the printer. You can just try to see if it operates by using a toothpick and if it does then you can close all the covers and it will work as it had got stuck and after you play with it a little it will be released. But remember in this model 1 sensor is shared with the same flag arm by both the covers.

How to solve the error: Atention: close all covers, while all covers are closed. for HP bussiness Inkjet 2800 Thanks.

It apparently thinks one of the plastic covers is open so I would check to see if the part on the doors that contacts the sensor is broken or damaged.

I changed the ink cartridge and now the printer screen reads "cover open"

Sometiems you have to close the covers firmly to get the sensor to recognize that it is actually shut

Printer says cover is open when its not

Remove the cartridges from the printer, then close the covers. Unplug the printer from the power source. Plug it back in after 10-15 seconds. Check if "cover is open" message is still coming up on the display. If yes, the cover sensor may have gotten stuck when you opened the printer to change the cartridges. Try to exercise the lever to release the tension. If problem persists, I advise you to call Lexmark. If not, proceed on reloading the cartridges. Close the covers. Let it print the alignment page all the way through without cancelling it. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

I'm not sure why you want to access the sensors, but the only manual I know of for that machine is here. If you're trying to avoid the false out of paper error message that shows on your machine, you need to do a forced reset by following the instructions in the second to last post in this thread.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Cover open message and there are no covers open

On Many of these printers, when you recieve this message chances are you either have a "BENT" limit switch sensor or the Tap on the Cover is "Broken or Broke off",
First Step open each cover and close them again sometimes the limit switch isn't being hit correctly by the door Tab

Second- as you open the covers their are tabs that must hit these sensors- make sure their not broken or bent.

Start their and tell me if these resolves the problem chance are the tabs are not hitting the switches correctly and not telling the samsung printer that the covers are closed.

Print unable 50

The carrier that goes back & forth has a timing strip ( a plastic strp about 1/4" wide and goes the legth of the machine) If you open the top cover. put your hand in the hole fill twards the front of the machine and the top cover. now the carrier has a U shaped sensore that this strip goes through. 9 times out of 10 the stip has gottin bummped out of position. now you need to put that strip back in the sensore. hard to do with covers on. if look close at the top cover not that hard to take off.
good luck
