SOURCE: new battery needed and fitted to a Polar heart rate monitor

This is really easy to do yourself. Get a CR1632 battery, unscrew the four screws on the back (dont tip the watch as there is a small spring in the watch), unclip the metal band holding in the old battery noting the way 'round the battery is in (minus side up), pop in new battery and push clip back down, when re-fitting the back make sure the spring mentioned earlier lines up with the white sticker with a hole in it on the inside of the watch back, screw down the back. After you have re done all your settings you may need to re-aquaint the watch with the strap, to do this put on the watch and strap, set the heart monitoring going, bring the watch up close to the 'Polar' logo on the chest strap until the time is displayed, should now be all set up.

SOURCE: Battery in a Polar F7 heart rate monitor

Hello
You can change the battery in your polar f7 if the battery is worn out.
1. Insert the tip of a pen knife into the lifting point and lifting the back up. The back of the watch is only pressed into place and will come off easily this way.
2. Grab the small clip that is extending across the surface of the battery with a pair of tweezers. Slide the tweezers toward the end that hooks down into the watch. Pull the hook end of the clip out of the watch and remove the clip from the battery

3. Match the old battery with a new one at any electronic store. The store will be able to read the writing imprinted on the battery to make sure that you get the correct battery type for your heart monitor.

4. Press the new battery into the watch making sure that the writing on the battery is facing up.

5. Press the holding clip back into place. Handle the clip with tweezers only, since it is very thin and can be bent or lost easily. Once it is in place, press the back of the watch on.

SOURCE: I have a Polar F11 Heart Rate Monitor. The watch

There is a step by step guide in my tips and tricks of things to try with your strap. If none of these work and you are getting a signal from another source then you need to get either a new strap, a new sender or both. If you send the T-31 wearlink into polar they can run a diagnostic and see which is bad and sell you just the piece you need or a whole new chest piece.

Instructions to reset a nordictrack cardio track watch

You may have started wearing a Polar F11 Fitness heart rate monitor to help you keep track of your pulse during cardiovascular exercise. The monitor consists of a strap with electrodes that you attach to your chest, which transmit heart rate data to a receiver worn on your wrist like a watch. The wrist unit stores data and settings that you can customize, such as your weight, height and target heart rates. However, you may wish to reset the unit and start over with new settings. You can reset your Polar F11 by following a few easy steps.
Instructions:

    • Press any button to activate the Polar F11 Fitness heart monitor unit.
    • 2 Press all buttons on the Polar F11 Fitness heart monitor simultaneously, except the "Light" button. There are five buttons and the "Light" button is at the top left side of the unit. Continue to hold the buttons until the display fills with digits.
    • 3 Press the "OK" button, which is located on the right side of the unit in the middle of the up and down buttons. The Polar F11 Fitness heart monitor will reset.

    Polar F6

    Hello,

It sounds like most of you have the heart rate set to display in % of max heart rate. Most Polar products have the option of heart rate in BPM(beats per minute) or percentage of max.

If you look at the display during the exercise, you will see a % icon. You can turn it off in by hitting the back button and go down to HR view settings.

    Hope this helps.

    Setting Polar CE0537

You do not have the right model number. For some reason, Polar puts the CE0537 in big numbers on the back of the case. The real model number on my unit was in very light engraving right above the words "Polar Electro" on the back of the case. Looks like they have an engraving problem where both the model and serial number are very hard to read. If it helps, my model was S120 and I found the manual quickly on the polar site. The polar site also has the location of model numbers in their FAQ area.
