Is there ice around the evaporator coils inside?
Is the evaporator fan working?
Have you unplugged for a few hours to defrost?
Please also verify the exact model # So I can help you more precisely with parts etc.

Thanks

CLICK HERE to see an expanded diagram of your freezer.

    The drain line is #29.

Yep - you'll need to empty the freezer to totally thaw out the coils.

If they are encrusted with ice - chances are the defrost timer has failed.

It is #23 on THIS EXPANDED DIAGRAM

    Or #20 the thermostat.

That part you can see HERE.

    Or #20 the thermostat.

    Or the defrost heater. #14.

Before throwing money blindly at the freezer - each component should be tested.

If you want more help - just let me know - or simply re-post a new problem (ie - how to test freezer timer etc.)

Please accept this answer to remove it from the work queue.

Magic chef freezer model mcuf88w won't freeze

When you thawed it, did you remove ice from it using a metal object. That may have damaged the coils when would allow freon to leak out. This is too coincidental to be a problem itself with the compressor. The t'stat might be the problem. Try turning it off at the t'stat for a few minutes, then turn back on to the normal setting. Keep door closed for 30 minutes and check the inside and see if the walls are freezing. If not, you may have a compressor problem, or t'stat, or relay switch problem.

Freezer door left open will it work again?

yes it must be shut off and completely defrosted.with doors left open it usually takes about 2 days. what happened if you look at the back wall in the freezer from the inside you will see a bunch of ice and there is more behind that panel you are looking at. it froze up the coils so that no air will get through them. good luck rich

My kenmore is not pressure sealing

the problem is that the compressor is not working
call a technician for a proper diagnosis
and it is not a pressure sound but a vacuum sound as the door when closed drops the temp inside the unit and that creates a vacuum making the door temporarily hard to open

Iam working on a hoshizaki ice maker, turn it on make one batck of ice, after that, my cooper lines on bottom of coils were warm and o n top od the coil were hot, whar could be the problem?

On Hoshi ice maker, if coils are HOT, it is passing hot gas from compressor into the lines. After the defrost of the first cycle, after this cubes are completely cleared from the plates, the "Hot Gas Valve" should close and the freeze cycle should start over. It sounds that the valve is sticking open and not stopping the hot gas from entering. Look there first.

I suspect a bad fan motor, door switch, or not defrosting. The suction when door closes is caused by the low temperature created when working properly.

The compressor on my refregerator seem to be overheated it is a side by side the insides of the doors are warm and the freezer will not free but it is running there is cool air in freezer

The doors should be warm. There or heaters in the doors or what they call a yodelers loop in the frame around the doors that keeps condensation from forming. Make sure the fan if blowing on the compressor and the fan inside the freezer is also running. If so be sure there is no ice built up on the bottom inside back panel of the freezer. If so you will have a defrost problem and the coil is full of ice and not allowing the air to flow through it and cool the fridge. If there is ice, the heater behind the panel is most likely bad.

Upright Freezer self defrosting

THE (SUCKING AIR) OCCURS WHEN THE TEMP IS VERY LOW IN THE FREEZER AND YOU LET WARM AIR IN BY OPENING THE DOOR. WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED, THE WARM AIR IS COOLED CAUSING A VACUUM IN THE FREEZER. IF THE DOOR SEAL HAS A LEAK AROUND IT, THE SUCKING SOUND WILL NOT TAKE PLACE. CHECK THE DOOR SEAL FOR A GAP AT ONE OF THE CORNERS OR ALONG THE SIDES,BACK, BOTTOM, OR TOP.IF THE SEAL IS O.K., HOW IS THE TEMP? IF THE TEMP SEEMS WARM, YOU MAY NEED TO CHECK THE SEALED SYSTEM. LOOK AT THE FROST PATTERN ON THE EVAPORATOR. IS IT COMPLETE AND UNIFORM? IS ONLY PART OF THE EVAPORATOR FROSTED BACK? IF THE ENTIRE EVAPORATOR IS FROSTED BACK UNIFORMLY, THE SEALED SYSTEM IS O.K.
