Check first if you have light on battery LED on your laptop, If yes your adaptor is good, if no.. you need to check your adaptor has a output dc voltage of 19 volts. If no.. check your adapter. If your adapter is good. It might be you have a bad power mosfet inot the motherboards.

Motherboard has more than likely gone bad. it happens in these models. there are a few companies online that offer to repair the service for about 100-150. check ebay. its repairable but not a quick fix available.

Good Luck! Dont forget to Rate!

Monitor not wrking

Sounds like you may have had a power surge.??
Disconnect power and signal input.
Turn the unit off for 20 minutes or so. Check the outlet against another device. ( Light )
Turn unit on without connection to PC video.
If you get a no signal, you good to go . Reconnect. If you continue to get a flashing light on power button,
Check warranty, get it back to Samsung for repair.
Hope this has helped

I have a HPw1907 monitor and it will turn on for about 2 seconds, and it turns off. The CPU is fine, just a problem with the monitor. Any way to fix this?

We have the same model of monitor and had the same problem few days ago. The monitor just goes black/turns off. I noticed that the power button has a yellow blinking light and cannot be turn on/off again using the power button. The CPU is working fine also. When I turn off the avr, the power button's light turns blue for a few second and you can hear a click sound from the back of the lcd before it totally turns off. My lcd monitor is over a year old now and is 110v or 220v capable. Mine was originally in a 220v, i just put it in 110v and the monitor was fixed.. Hope this can somehow fix your problem.

Computer monitor flashes on then turns off

Try the monitor with another computer. If it works, the video circuitry (whether it is on-board or a separate adapter) in the Gateway is the problem and needs to be replaced. Otherwise, the problem is with the monitor itself. From your description it is probably the Gateway's video that is the problem since the power light on the monitor remains green indicating that it is seeng a signal, but not something it can properly interpret, i.e., one or more of the control signals are shot.

Will not stay on

Check the power cord where it goes into the monitor and make sure it is tight. When it turns off, if the power light is still on check that you are not getting message "No Imput"; it may be the serial connection on the back of the monitor or the back of your pc. Usually if this is the case the power light will be yellow, not green or will blink. Acer and Planar brand monitors are known for issues ranging from this problem to going completely black even when power light is green. If its under warranty, return it if trouble shooting doesn't work.

Dell E156FP Monitor Problem

If the screen is not completely black (i.e. just very very dim, turn the lights off to see) try using the controls at the bottom of the monitor to reset to factory settings (all settings). I have had this problem with two dell monitors so far and this seems to work.

Screen goes black and power light goes out after a few minutes

it would seem that one of the internal components has failed / overheated Dont open the rear of the monitor !

if pos drop it into your nearest pc repair shop and have is serviced it may just need cleaned to free it from dust build up
on the inner parts this may be causing the unit to over heat
