When I go into other rooms I can't connect to router

How is the signal strength? Check and make sure the antennas are not loose. Is your house the old style concrete? Sometimes thick block or concrete walls are tough for the wireless signal to get through. They do make larger antennas or signal boosters for wireless routers. You may need to install one of these to boost signal strength. Also is it wireless B,G,or N? Wireless B has a very weak signal while wireless N has a very strong signal. Sometimes the router settings can be changed to adjust the signal strength and may be set too low also.

I had so many problems with linksys router that I returned it to Wal Mart. Now I cant uninstall from my computer. Help!!!

It doesn't matter if the Linksys program is still installed on your computer. If you can uninstall it, go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and do it from there.

Intermittent/non-existant connection with LinkSys WRT54G router

I would get a Range Expander... it sounds like you are having problems recieving a constant signal. When you do get the range expander plug the Range Expander halfway between you upstairs computers and your downstairs where your router is at. I hope this helps!!

Need to add Linksys WRT54G-TM wireless router with Linksys SPA 2102 phone adapter

your SPA2102-R seems to have one ethernet connection and one internet connection.
your WRT54G-TM seems to have one internet connection and 4 ethernet connections.

What you are trying to achive is; plug a ethernet cable into the ethernet connection on your SPA2102-R then plug the other end into the internet port of the WRT54G-TM

hope this helps, I have assumed that you intend to use a DSL broadband supplier not ADSL.

if you are changing service from DSL to ADSL then your WRT54G-TM needs to be first in line configured and working. then plug the internet port from the SPA2102-R into any of the WRT54G-TM ethernet ports.

Attaching gigaware antenna kit to linksys wrt54g wireless router

Versions 8.0 and above for this router DO NOT have detachable antenna.
You will NOT be able to detach the antenna on any wrt54g that has a serial number that begins with the following:
A trend with any linksys router model is earlier versions are better (more RAM, linux os, faster chip, detachable antenna, etc), later models are exercises in cost cutting to deliver the 'same' specs on the box.

Add di-704p to an existing network

What you want to do should be quite easy:

1. Just connect one of the LAN ports of the DI-704P to a LAN port of your WRT54G. Try using a standard network cable. If the port status lights does not turn on on both sides when you connect the cable, use a "crossover" cable. Important: leave the DI-704P WAN port empty.

2. Disable the DHCP server on your DI-704P, your WRT54G will be the DHCP server.

3. Assign a static IP address to you DI-704P, different from your WRT54G. Example, if your WRT54G has, you may assign to your DI-704P. Make sure that the IP address you assign is outside the DHCP range configured in your WRT54G and that the subnet mask is identical on both.
You will then be able to use your print server from any wired and wireless computer and the remaining LAN ports both on the WRT54G and DI-704P.

Linking wrt54g with actiontec m1424wr

You need to check the ip address of your actiontec router, the default ip address of linksys router is, they should not be the same or else you will not able to connect the router to the internet.

To access the router web configuration

Let me also give you the site on how to add the linksys router to another existing router.

The linksys has 4 LAN port and 1 "Internet" port on the back - we ONLY use the LAN ports NEVER the Internet port - because your existing router is connected to the Internet - your linksys is connected to the LAN
