SOURCE: Best Way ti connect a Denon AVR-1602 Surround Sound system with a Bell Express View Satlite reciever and Plasma TV

lets see, 3100 has no digital out, so you need analog inputs for the audio. Best picture with the 3100, use S-video. Digital input for the DVD sound and S-video in for picture. OOPS....does your TV have a S-Video input ?. If not then you have to use the RCA standard video type connector, as this particular denon doesnt do up or down conversion to or from S-video to old style RCA.

Sorry for the late response.....Rob

PS.....the HD bell wont do you any good with this receiver nbecause it doesnt have component video inputs. Enjoy Bells' superior picture with regular TV . Its way better than cable. Rob

SOURCE: No sound/test tone front front right channel

1-make a reset to your system.2-repeat your speaker setup.3-confirm that you assign your sysem for 5 chanell surround system.-4-change the cables between left and right front speakers if the trouble go to left channel you will have a problem in receiver itself-if the problem exict you will have a problem in speaker itself(cable or speaker)

SOURCE: Loss of sound on the Denon AVR 2807 a/v surround receiver when I turn on and off lights in my house

Finally the problem was with the HDMI cable. When I pushed it in on the TV set the problem disappeared. It seems the connections must be quite firm on the HDMI cables otherwise anything may interfere to the sound.

Denon AVR-3801 lights up,makes rapid clicking noises when amp tries to turn on. Clicking stops but unit doesn't play & sometimes the unit turns off. Occurred after lightning storm. What to do to fix?

Probably damaged by power surge. If you do not have experience diagnosing and repairing electronic circuits as well as having access to schematic diagrams then this is not a repair for you. Failure to replace all damaged components may result in damaging new parts.

No sound

check speaker conections. disconnect all the speaker wires and use one speaker that you know that works and connect it to each channel one at a time. most surround sound stereos will not go into surround mode unless all the speakers are connected so make sure stereo is in 2 channel mode to start testing. check all fuses sometimes amp fuse is seperate from power circuit and denon uses relays in 99% of thier units.

Denon AVR-682 center channel has no output

You may have had the receiver set to "Stereo" mode, or Analog instead of "Digital" or "Auto" (automatically switches to digital when it detects a signal) modes. Also, setting it to "Direct" (2-channel from an analog source) could result in loss of center channel. Or your Surround Parameter dial (on the higher-end Denons, at least) could be set to a 2-channel mode.
Finally, if your digital inputs are incorrectly assigned (e.g., COAX1 instead of OPT1, or OPT2 instead of OPT1) for that source, the receiver will use the Analog signal which is stereo-only. You could get a center channel via Dolby Pro Logic II but it would be a "matrixed" signal, not the "real" center channel you could get via digital input using Dolby Digital or DTS.
(If all else fails, re-check your center channel speaker wire connections. It's very unlikely, but also possible, that either the receiver center channel amp or the speaker has failed.)

Denon AVR-1403 connected to DVD can hear music but no dialougue!!

Check the center channel speaker and the surround sound audio settings. If you do not have a center speaker, it needs to be set to off on the receiver.

Denon AVR-2105

If the Cd is wired digitally, it will only play through the main zone, because the Denon cannot convert down to RCA to cater for the zone 2. If you plug RCAs from Cd to Denon, Main zone will STILL play from digital, and RCA connection will allow zone 2 to play Cd from RCA input....same with dvd, Satellite Blah blah... no stress, any nasty RCA will do if you want to try before you splash out on really costly cables...perhaps you can help me...want to run AVR 2105 with 2 speakers in zone 2, manual says cant do it - only ably to surround back or biamp...dont want either, dont have stereo yet to try it out...did you have any trouble with that?
