press 'select' button-->7444-->enter your new code-->re-enter new code
7444 deletes previous parental code.

You will need to reset the PS2s inner memory, which resumes itself in taking out the watch battery on the mainboard that keeps the settings when you unplug it. Depending on which version of the PS2 you have, the way to do so will change, so i recommend either finding diagrams on the net if you are safe enough to open up the PS2 yourself, if not, take it to a local technician.

You Insert a DSVD and get it start then press the select button to get the menu up. Go to settngs and Custom setup, Get into parental and use Code 7444. You will have to enter it twice. Then set your parental setting to OFF so you do not have to warry about it again.
