Question about Troy-Bilt 4-Cycle Curve Shaft Gas String Trimmer #41ADT41C966
My 5 year old troy built 4 cycle has always ran great. I have changed the crankcase oil twice a year since new and adjusted the valves ever spring. It died and would not restart recently. The fuel hose was degraded so I replaced both pieces with new. Now I can only get to start using a small shot of starting fluid. And I must run it full throttle for it to stay running. Acts like its starving for fule, maybe a vacuum leak making it run very lean. Will not idle or run at anything but wide open throttle. I think I will pull the valve cover and check the rocker arms and valve lash for anything that looks out of place. It does not look like they offer a carb kit for the tb475ss model. Any other ideas would be helpfull!
Take a compresstion test to see if it's good.
sound like the carb needs to be rebuild but if you cant get a carb kit you have to get a new one. it happen to me one time to no kit had
get new carb.let me know how it go's ok
