Question about Vacuums
Unscrew the plastic cap, take the rotor out and clean out any hair or debris that might be in the hole or on the rotor. Fixes mine every time.

Zhezhan's posting did help...but what I found to be even more effective was to remove the water bucket, and clean the little red removable filter.. it is probably clogged

If the mysterious "red rotor" could be the beater bar, remove the base plate that holds the beater bar in, and check the condition of the belt. That's the only "red rotor" that comes to mind. If this isn't what you mean, please re-post....Operators (emissionwiz and myself) are standing by!
