Red rotor is not spinning. - Vacuums

Bissell ProHeat Model 7901,the red rotor I refer to is the Flow Indicator which spins to notify you that when trigger is pressed the machine is applying cleaning solution to the floor. It stops spinning to notify you that solution or bladder needs to be refilled. Also does not spin when trigger is released. As previously stated it does not spin at all,do not know if it is cleaning or not.

Unscrew the plastic cap, take the rotor out and clean out any hair or debris that might be in the hole or on the rotor. Fixes mine every time.

Zhezhan's posting did help...but what I found to be even more effective was to remove the water bucket, and clean the little red removable filter.. it is probably clogged

If the mysterious "red rotor" could be the beater bar, remove the base plate that holds the beater bar in, and check the condition of the belt. That's the only "red rotor" that comes to mind. If this isn't what you mean, please re-post....Operators (emissionwiz and myself) are standing by!

Bissell proheat cleanshot 2x won't stop putting out cleaner and water, the little dial won't stop spinning

First clean the Flow Indicator filter. Turn the Flow indicator cap counter-clockwise to remove it. Lift the rotor and the filter under it out. Clean the filter and reinstall in reverse order. Make sure you have unplugged the unit before working on it. Then clean the lint filter on the heat tank cap (it looks like a screen) and reinstall it. There's not much more to these so if that doesn't work call the Bissell Consumer Care at 1-800-237-7691

How does a wind turbine work?

A Wind turbine operates on a simple principle .The energy in the wind turns 2 or 3 propellor like blades around a rotor .The rotor is connected to the main shaft which spins a generator to create electricity. Wind turbines are mounted on a tower to capture the most wind energy.

Brush doesnt turn

Look for the reset button on the side of the brushbar housing - there should be a red sticker and a red button. Push it once. It's
not gonna stay depressed, it's gonna pop right out - that's normal.
- Step on the red pedal on the back
- Turn the machine on with the red power button
- Press the gray button next to the red power button - this is the ON/OFF switch for the brushbar - if it doesn't spin, press and hold the gray button down for 10 seconds
- If it still isn't spinning, remove the brushbar and make sure nothing is blocking it and withholding it from spinning

I was using my Craftsman 12 Gal 5.0 160 HP Wet/Dry Vac, dry vacuuming, and it just stopped working. I did check the receptacles but that was not the issue.

Good day!

Try to see the motor and the carbon brush that connected to it..

This are the step on how to open or remove the cover of the vacuum to reveal the motor.
  1. Take off the top panel.
  2. Loosening all screws that you will see inside that top panel.
  3. After that, the top cover of the vacuum release and the image of the motor reveal.
  4. Now try to look at the motor and remove it to the unit by unscrewing it.
  5. Next, try to spin it manually using your 2 fingers and hold the plate then spin it.If the plate is hard to spin, the motor is need to re-align.
  6. To re-align the motor you have to loosen the screws at the 4 corners then release the rotor then back again.
  7. After that, clean the bushing of motor and the rotor and apply the motor oil for lubrication. Then re-install it and tighten the screws on the 4 corners while you re-align the rotor.
  8. Use a rubber mallet to align the rotor, hit the body of the motor while you tighten the 4 corners screws.
  9. After that spin the plate again to test the alignment,if the plate spin it smoothly.the alignment is OK.
  10. After that you have to test the resistance of the motor to make sure that the carbon brush is contact to the armature of the rotor.Use a multimeter (range in ohms) then point the test probe directly to the carbon brush wire.It should have not more than 25 ohms depends on the horse power of the motor.
  11. When the reading is open the contact of the carbon brush is reaching the armature of the rotor.Replace the carbon brush.
If you accomplish all of the steps above and the you found a defective parts.Test the vacuum by powering it ON.

Thank you very much and wish you luck.

The bagless rotor does not rotate/sweeper does not rotate

There is no rotor inside the clear container that turns on a DC07. The stuff spins due to the shape of the airflow. Perhaps your cyclones are completely clogged. you can clean them yourself. see this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OO3ugkyzxk

Miele SEB-213 powerbrush stopped working

Pull the head cover off to check the belt, if the belt is ok then it might be the power connection between the handle and the power head shaft. If the red light is on the power head, then its not the connection
because its getting power. Now some heads have a reset button on them, you could check this also.
With the cover off the power head, remove the belt, now turn it on, and be careful, but try to make the motor shaft spin, with one finger, because if it does start to spin you do not want to hurt your finger.

If the motor starts to spin, put the belt back on, if it does not spin again, the motor is too weak.
If it does not spin at all, the motor is bad.Hope this helps you,and you get it working.
