Hi

Yes and no. Yes the instaled drivers can cause this to happen but most likely something is going bad inside the monitor. You can send this to my company for repair or take it to a local serviceman.

Thanks

Bad caps can look normal but they can have high ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance, low ESR type is a must for switching power supply), you will need cap meter that can read ESR.

You should take the DC voltage reading of the backlight inverter, it should be aorund 16~18vdc before and after the problem appears, it can also be cold solder joints, hope fully not at the lamp connections.
See my albums for bad caps and lamps.
What ever the DC rating of the caps that were installed originally by the factory, they should be OK.

Optiquest vs11201 monitor not above 640x480 resolution

You need to download the driver from DELL for your video card, my 3000 use video driver R79733.EXE.
You may have virus in your computer if you cannot update the drivers, sometime it is better to start from clean drive to help get rid of stuff that get installed into the computer.

Screen shifted 4" right

Hi,
It's probably a setting on the monitor itself. Try pushing the menu buttons on the monitor, and see if there is an automatic image adjust. Or, just try turning the monitor off and on - it might readjust itself when turned on.

I use the Optiquest monitor as a dual screen and it has a pink tint to it now. How do I fix?

This could be one of a couple of things.
1. The cable that you are using may be damaged, if so, wiggling it back and forth / tightening the connection / looking for bent pins on the cable and straightening with help to diagnose. Replacing the cable is the best remedy.
2. Check if Internet Explorer 7 or higher has been installed. If start Internet explorer, click tools, internet options, advanced and switch off the "Always use clear type for HTML" option.
3. Check if the red tint is still there when not using in dual screen mode. This will highlight a configuration issue with the dual screen setup.
4. Try a different refresh rate, RGB colour balance, resolution, etc to try and fix the issue.
5. Try the monitor on a different PC.
6. Try a factory reset on the monitor.

My Q19wb keeps turning pink where it shoulod be white. This isn't the first Optiquest monitor that I have known to do this. What can I do to keep it from turning pink? It's very annoying......

Not much you can do. I would recommend just buying a nice affordable general brand LCD monitor. Don't go to best buy or some place that specializes in that, you can get it cheaper at wal mart or k mart. possibly sears or Sam's Club

I have a Optiquest Monitor Q9. The Monitor had a cract line from top to the bottom in the middle of the screen, but it still working, I would like to find out if Optiquest would replace just the screen....

On most lcd monitors the cost of the screen is usually close to the cost of the whole monitor, my feeling is if your monitor is under warranty then they will send you another monitor. If not then your going to need to search on Ebay, Google etc to see if you can find a damaged monitor with a good screen and have it cost less then the cost of a new one.

ViewSonic 19" flat screen monitor goes black - intermittently

Hi,
There could be a problem with your display card settings or the display card itself. If you are using Windows operating system, make sure that you have the monitor driver installed for that specific monitor. This is to ensure that Windows only allows settings for which your particular monitor was designed.
Let me know if I can assist you any further regarding this.
Best wishes,
Graemevm

Q19wb Monitor Replacement Part Numbers Needed

Look on eBay for "Optiquest Q19wb repair" or "Optiquest Q19wb power"

This is a common failure mode. You can either buy a set of capacitors and solder them in, or buy a replacement power supply board if you cannot solder.

One eBay seller notes the power board as an ILPI-025, which is common among the following models:

Power Board ILPI-025 For LG W1934S & Viewsonic VG1930WM & Optiquest Q19WB & Acer AL1916W Ab etc
