Question about Panasonic CQ-VD7001U Car DVD Player
Same problem here, but read somewhere on this site that you have to change the battery on your remote and "Voila!"
strange problem that the unit "dies" at the same moment as the remote battery but that solved my problem!
hope that it helps other people, I have my unit for 2 years now
