Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook
I have an HP Pavillion dv 1000 special edition entertainment notebook pc and I recently upgraded to windows vista. Ever since it have given me the error message that no audio output device is installed. I have tried downloading a driver and updating it from my device manager. It gives me a code 10 message, and then I went to hp's website and it seems that I can't get a driver for this computer if I use windows vista. If this is true what can I do short of going back to XP? Will hp update services to include drivers for vista users? Help!
It's unlikly that HP will relesae he needed Vista drivers for your sound device.
That has been a problem with Vista since day 1.
If you want your sound back, you should go back to XP.
Windows Vista use a new software architecture, and hardware devices must comply with it, in order to be used by the new OS.
