Question about Maytag Dryers
I have a 10 year old Maytag Performa. It started ok, and ran less than 5 minutes and shut off. I get current to the main switch, but not to the light inside the drum, or anything else, it seems. Can I test the main switch somehow?
Hello, try checking the door switch, with no light in the drum it points to the door switch being bad. To test this unplug the machine, bypass the door switch with a wirenut..Don't forget to replace the switch if bad, the door switch is there for a reason. Good Luck!!! Please feel free to comment again if you have any other questions or concerns. Mike

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
