Jayco lift system cable replacement

I have a 1991 Jayco 1206 Deluxe popup.

I need a picture or diagram of how the lift arms are assembled and how to remove them to replace the lift cables.

I need to replace the lift cables and can't get much help from Jayco on how the lift arms work.

Can you provide me necessary information to replace all the lift cables?

Thanks,

On a 2000 Jayco Designer 34' 5th wheel, the large slide retracts part way in, then stops, even though the slide out motor continues to run. we have lived in it one year in the same campground.

possibly gear arm is bent. slide outs are not made to be sat and lived in. you should be able manually slide it in. try to lift slide out by the arm with a hydraulic jack. place jack on ground use a 2x4 or 4x4 between jack and gear arm and lift gently. the teeth on arm could be stripped also. just ease into it..

Normally you replace the top. Contact Jayco and see if they will make one. It will be expensive and they are very heavy.

Replace fuel gauge

Hi Anonymous, you could have a faulty sending unit or guage, there could be a problem with your wiring. On models with the fuel gauge posing as a left hand fuel cap the gauge is a press fit do not try to unscrew it, simply ample force lift up in a rocking motion to remove gauge. Disconnect wires to the gauge and with a set of positive and negative jumpers from the battery connect the positive jumper and flash the negative, gauge should peg full, if not replace gauge. With a test light check for power to the sending unit, then remove the sending unit and manually operate the float arm slowly with the correct wiring hooked up to the fuel gauge and sending unit and the ignition on, the gauge should respond accordingly if not replace the float arm assembly. Where is the filter on model MDBD820AWW

The filter is under the lower washer arm. A diagram of the pump and motor assembly is available from Sears parts direct: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Maytag-Parts/Dishwasher-Parts/Model-MDBD820AWW/3048/0130000/M0303313/00006?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= . The filter is part 6 in the diagram. To get at the filter, you need to unscrew the center piece that holds the wash arm and then lift the arm out of the way. Next lift off the filter guard and then the filter assembly (there is another screw holding a cover on the filter itself). I believe the seal fits in the center of the filter assembly.

In my experience, you should note how tightly the lower wash arm is assembled. When you reassemble the unit, tighten to just that amount. (If you overtighten it, the wash arm will not turn and completely clean the dishes.)

I hope this helps.

(whose household had to replace the seal of a slightly different dishwasher and overtightened the assembly - three weeks waiting for the parts led to forgetting the key detail.)

Want to replace the trim/tilt motors on my 1995 Yamaha TXRT 200hp outboards... do I have to remove the motors from the boat?

no. a unmodified transom bracket may need to be moved not removed. Since the tilt motor is out you will need to manually lift the engine. you can see the picture diagram at www.yamaha-motor.com. click on outboard motors, parts and service, view parts catalog. find your year make and model by following steps listed at top. select power trim and tilt assembly. in the picture you will see the location of the Manuel release valve on the starboard side. turn the Manuel release valve then lift the engine. tie it up or use a stand to keep it up,do not use the tilt lock. with the engine in full tilt position, you can see the motor. some brackets are modified were you can remove the motor without moving the transom bracket. If unmodified you'll need to follow these steps. (1) lower the engine back down.the steering arm needs to be removed from the steering cable and swung forward. do not remove steering arm from engine. on the starboard side of the engine you will see the steering cable going into the steering cable tube. (2)a 1 1/6 nut secures the cable to that tube remove it and slide cable out do not remove it.(3) lift engine again and secure it. your about to remove the motor mount bolt so make sure you secure the motor completely (4)remove upper and lower transom to bracket bolts remove bolts on the port side only.(5) you will see three bolt that go through the transom bracket to the trim and tilt assembly. remove them.(6) if all bolts are removed you will be able to slide the port transom bracket to the left out of the way(7) remove tilt/trim motor.
