well I know that the output from my aftermaket unit should go directly to the speakers. However, if that was the solution I guess I wouldn't have asked you expert. Is there a way I can still use the JBL can I reduce the power level of that amplifier output so that i connect to JBL amp? is there an attenuator for such a configuration?

    Hi Welcomee
I know what you are saying but there is no line out except for the audio output which is high level,
and when you say i should use line out what do you mean what should that be connected with
I sent the unit description with all the connections to Fixya they should make it available to you
    regards

Hi buddy I undersatnd ... have you seen the unit description and connection drawing I sent? it is unfortunate i cannot attached it to this note.

I basically have on that unit back pane the following:

    - AV input: 3 jacks audio left audio right and video

    - Audio output channels: left front, left back, front right, right back, center, subwoofer

    - digital audio output

    - AV outputs: it has left and right audio input ports as well as 2 video ports AV1 and AV2

does this help a bit further?

    thanks

Hi the 5 channels are speaker-level output so they can't go into JBL but the AV one may be ...
I'll try to simulate with a cheaper amp before. What about the digital line-out? I thought JBL had a digital input...do you know anything about digital line-out ?its purpose etc...
    Thanks

Check Line Out jacks in head unit that will be connected in JBL amp Input.
Please do not connect head unit amp output with JBL amp input even with minimum volume level that will damage JBL amp input circuit.
Only use Line Out to connect any other amp with head unit.
Thanks.

Well, if head unit does not have line out pins then it would not be connected with any other amplifier.

I do not see any drawing attachment here and based on specifications, "- AV outputs: it has left and right audio input ports as well as 2 video ports AV1 and AV2" there you can hook JBL amp input to get sound.
You can email me pictures of head unit rear at welcomejee@yahoo.com
    Thanks.

Toyota already has amplifier and all speaker wires are connecting to these out puts. With your new unit having an amplifier, all connection from your new unit outputs should be going directly to speakers not going through original amplifier. If you don see the original amp, it may be under the driver seat. Hope this can help.

How to connect aftermarket radio into 2002 toyota camry JBL radio (the standart wiring doesn't work). Thanks

Your aftermarket radio should have color-coded wires which identifies power, ground, speakers, etc. most depaetment stores carry a radio harness adapter kit. This will connect to your radio's exact color coded wires, and will plug right in to your factory's wiring plug. And don't forget electrical tape.

I have a jbl gt series gt5 a3011 amp light on top comes on but the power light doesnt fuses are good everything seems to be connected right and no sound to speakers .

Run a jumper between the power wire and the remote (disconnect the remote wire from the head unit first). If the amp turns on, you got a blown fuse, or other problem with the remote turn on from the head unit.

I have a 2008 Toyota Highlander with the TO factory option. I installed an aftermarket trailer hitch. Do I just need a trailer light pigtail (to connect to the connector in the rear) or must I also...

I believe the box also is a safety feature in case of a wiring problem from some event, like an accident.
You need a converter to convert the turn signals and brake lights to run off the one bulb on the trailer. A flat 4 pole connector is the usual connection. A 4 to 5 pole converter may also be needed to add the backup light power to disengage the surge brakes while backing up If your trailer has that option. 4 to 5 is not really necessary but it eliminates having to get out and move the connector or insert the brake bypass key.

Crutchfield.com has manuals for your specific car that will show you how to get it out. Otherwise just start popping off dash panels around the radio.
