You'll get this abnormality some times due to the signal if you're watching regular analog picture and you have your TV set on full screen, the TV will stretch the picture and you will see more defects than if you're watching it on normal picture. it you have a repair skills you need to open the TV and make sure all the ribon connectors around the circuit boards are proper connected
and if all seems to be ok, the DG board will need to be replaced.
If you dont have any repair skills I would recommend you to take you TV to a repair shop since this is complex repair

I had a similar problem where the screen went to a pink shade periodically. Sony sent me a memory stick, with download instructions, that fit into one of the back ports. The problem has gone away. It was a software correction.
