Question about Washing Machines

I have a Model GLTF 2940 ESO Frigidaire front load washer that has been giving me an E 10 error code. None of the possibilitied listed on the Error Code chart seen to apply. I can fool it by using the Delicate or Heavy load programs - once, Then it does it again. I've been putting it on Rinse/Spin to finish off the load.

we disconnected the hoses from the hot and cold inlets. The cold is heavily corroded - husband says to tell you we're on well water. Can the inlet screen be removed to clean it? How?

HI, this is the result of a faulty water valve or valve wire connection(Cold side). Check the connections to the inlet water valve assembly. Make sure the wire connections that run to the valve are clamped or connected tightly and not loose. if the wires to the valve are connected properly, this will confirm a inlet valve issue. replace it asap in this case.

Most cases, this will simply be a loose connecting clamp on the inlet valve assembly.

    Inspect the filter screens on
both the hoses and the inlet valve for debris build up in this case. If you find any debris, clean it out.You can use a tooth brush to clean. Use caution
to avoid damaging the filter screens because the screens in the
valve are not replaceable. Due to the well water issue, this may have been the result of a high mineral count tin your water supply. most well water will have a high mineral count. this will clog the inlet screens overtime, causing this error code.

If the screens cannot be cleaned, replace the water inlet valve. remember to clean the new valve frequently to prevent mineral build up in the future. CRL is very good as well at dissolving mineral build up and calcification as well.

Error codes on a front load washer

Hello friend, thanks for your post!

From my understanding you would like a list of error codes that apply to your Frigidaire washer. Is there a specific error code you are searching for? I was unable to locate a list of all the codes that would be available within your washer, ATF7000E. With additional information I would be able to assist you further. -Matt

Frigidaire front load washer (ATF6000SF1) error E20

E20 is not an exact error code. It's indicating a possible pump out problem. Here is a few possible causes of an E20 error code:

1. Restriction in the drain pump

2. Failed pump

3. Water not pumping out fast enough (crimped drain hose)

4. Too many suds ( too much detergent or wrong kind)

5. Pressure switch (not communicating with control board)

6. Loose wire at pressure switch

7. Loose wire at pump or control board

8. Failed control board

I have a Frigidaire Gallery front load washer with E10 error code

When ours does that it is because of the hard water build up. We have to un-hook the hot water clean out the minerals and it stops doing it.
