Yahoo takes too long

The inability to send, reply, or forward emails could be from a program that was installed on your computer that is now preventing the Yahoo! Mail Rich Text toolbar from launching properly. Try switching from "Rich Text" compose mode to "Plain Text" as a work around:

1. Sign in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
2. Click the New button to start a new email.
3. To the far right of the "Subject" line click the "Plain Text link.
4. Compose and send your email.

To make "Plain Text" your default when replying or forwarding, do this:

1. Sign in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
2. Click "Options," then select "More Options" from the pull down arrow in the upper right corner of your Mail page.
3. Select "General" from the list of options on the left side of the page.
4. Check the box next to; When replying & forwarding Mark original message with > (plain text only).
5. Click the "Save Changes" button in the upper left corner.

1. Log in to your yahoo email account.

2. In upper right corner under search button-you will see three links in blue: Mobile, Options, and Help.

3. Click on Options> select Mail Classic.

First go to yahoo.com and click on the mail link so you get to the log in screen. Then look in the address bar and highlight the entire address and then right click on it and select copy on the menu.

Second minimize the internet browser and right click in an empty area of your desktop screen and place your mouse pointer on NEW and select Shortcut on the pop up menu. It will ask you for the location of the program.

Third: right click in the empty field and click Paste. It will fill in the path with the web address you copied in the First step. Click on Next and fill in the name of the new shortcut such as Yahoo Mail or such.

Click Finish and you will see a new web shortcut appear on your desktop. Double click on it and it will take you to the yahoo log in screen.

One way of changing your yahoo password is to login to Yahoo Mail.
After logging to Yahoo Mail, follow step below:

• On the upper-left corner, click the down arrow after Hello, Your Name and click "Account Info" ("Account" at Yahoo Mail Beta)
• On the next page, click "change your password" under Sign-In and Security section.

You may now change your password.

?You can delete all your E-mails in one go if your using "New Yahoo Mail" click "More Action">"Select all messages">then click Delete and your done. If your using "Yahoo Mail Classic you can only delete one page at a time. Increase the number of Emails displayed per page to get more at a time and delete them totally.

1. Click Options, 'Mail Options' at the top right of your Yahoo Mail page.
2. Click on 'General Preferences'.
3. Go to the "Message Results per page section.
4. Click the Blue down arrow and select 200 (maximum).
5. Go to the bottom of the page and click 'Save'.

?Go back to your In-Box page and scroll down to the bottom of the first page. Click "Check All" (this will place a check mark in all of the Emails on this page) then click the Delete button. Access a Free Yahoo! Mail Account with Outlook Express Using YPOPs!

To access a free Yahoo! Mail account with Outlook Express using the YPOPs! desktop utility:

* Open Outlook Express.
* Select Tools ' Accounts... from the menu in Outlook Express.
* Click Add and select Mail....
* Type your name.
* Click Next >.

* Make sure POP3 is selected under My incoming mail server is a ___ server..
* Enter "localhost" under Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server:.

* Enter your Yahoo! Mail password under Password:.
* Click Next >.

* Highlight localhost in the Internet Accounts window.
* Click Properties.
* Type "Yahoo! Mail" under Mail Account.
* Click OK.
* Click Close.

Useful YPOPs! Options

I recommend you also double-click the YPOPs! system tray icon to change a number of useful settings.

You can make YPOPs! ignore messages in the Bulk Mail folder of your Yahoo! Mail account, for example, tell it not to mark downloaded messages as read, fetch sent mail or have YPOPs! put a copy of outgoing mail in your Yahoo! Mail Sent Items folder.
Access Free Yahoo! Mail with Outlook Express Using IzyMail

To set up a Yahoo! Mail account in Outlook Express via IzyMail:

* Make sure your Yahoo! Mail account is registered with IzyMail.
* Select Tools ' Accounts... from the menu in Outlook Express.
* Click Add and select Mail....
* Type your name.
* Click Next >.
* Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address ("[email protected]", for example).
* Click Next > again.
* Make sure IMAP is selected under My incoming mail server is a ___ server..
* Type "in.izymail.com" under Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server:.
* Enter "out.izymail.com" under Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:.
* Click Next >.
* Type your complete Yahoo! Mail address under Account name: ("[email protected]", for example).

* Highlight in.izymail.com in the Internet Accounts dialog.

* Make sure My server requires authentication is checked under Outgoing Mail Server.
* Go to the IMAP tab.
* Make sure Store special folders on IMAP server is checked.
* Type "_Sent" under Sent Items path:.
* Enter "_Draft" under Drafts path:.

* Now click Close.
* Click Yes to download the list of Yahoo! Mail folders to Outlook Express.

Go to your yahoo mail homepage and in the upper right hand column click the little down arrow next to options, the drop down menu will appear. Next, select mail options and it will take you to another screen with several mail settings listed on the left hand side of the page...locate the vacation response tab and change the settings. Also you might have to switch to yahoo mail classic to perform this task.

Chat with Somebody in Yahoo! Mail To exchange instant messages with any Yahoo! Instant Messenger or Windows Live Messenger user in Yahoo! Mail:

• Make sure you are singed in to chat.
  • If Offline appears after your user name right next to the Yahoo! Mail icon at the top, click Offline and choose Available, Busy or Invisible from the menu.

• Press c (think chat).
  • You can also select Chat from the Compose drop-down menu — click the down arrow first.
• Type the desired user's Yahoo! Messenger ID in the To: field.
• Hit Enter.
• Type away.
