I had this same problem and it was not the supply connections or filters! Under the machine is a rubber bellows. The bellows had sprung a leak. The part was about $10 from Sears and I repaired it in about 30 minutes. The machine is heavy so be careful. Get a friend to make sure the machine won't rock or tip when you're making the repair.

HI, you will want to Inspect the water supply connections. this is a good spot to check first. there may be a loose connection here, causing the leakage. Next, Inspect the drain hose. Check to make sure that it is tightly connected to the drain pump. replace if needed. Last. Inspect outer tub/basket for cracks or corrosion.

You will find the issue in one or all of the above stated check points.

I have a leaking WM2277HW and have the same solution as #3 (the rubber bellows underneath developed three small cracks that you can only see by spreading the rubber apart.) Simple to replace.

My Lg also has a little puddle left front of machine and dribbles on front of machine from detergent drawer which i think the water is coming from.

ACCESSING THE DRAIN PUMP ON A FRONT LOADER

Today I will be showing you how to drain & clean your Drain Filter on a Front Loading Washing Machine.

Be sure to unplug your machine, before doing anything beyond this point.

THE DRAIN FILTER COMPARTMENT

Most washing machines have a already accessible compartment for your convenience at the front of the machine.

Common compartments can be found here:

jedemeyer1_21.jpgjedemeyer1_20.jpg
jedemeyer1_22.jpg

Compartments can be opened by any small flat object, insert it at the top and flip it out downwards.

DRAINING THE WATER

Ready a small bowl, and position under the drain filter compartment. Position towels by the compartment

You now need to drain the water, there should be a small pipe with either a plastic cork / small tap which you can open. Let it drain all the water to the bowl:jedemeyer1_16.jpg

Not all Washing Machines have this pipe fitted, if that is your case, get some more towels, and a low dish for the next step.

CLEANING THE FILTER

Now the filter is the round compartment you can see, it is taken out by turning it anti-clockwise. Once loose, more water will be streaming out (a small amount, if drained adequately in the last step).
jedemeyer1_17.jpg
Once this filter is out, you can clean the filter cap, which should be out of the machine (In your hand, sir) - Wash it of under a running tap.

Insert your fingers into the Pump Compartment, and remove any gunk (coins, toothpicks, small stones etc), if you push your fingers in deep enough you will feel the drain pump's impeller, make sure this can be moved with no obstruction, by turning it with your fingertips.

Re-insert the filter, close the compartment and plug in your machine again.
It is recommended to clean your filter at least once a week, to avoid build-up that could harm your drain pump.

I hope you have been helped with this Tip.

Get a level and check the level of the machine. The front should be slightly higher than the back and even left to right.

Where is the pump filter on an lg washer?

The PRIMARY filter for discharged water in most front loaders is located under the opening of the washer behind a small 'door'. There is usually a small tube which you will need to pull the plug from and drain about 2 cups of water into a bucket BEFORE you remove the filter to clean it.
After you unscrew the filter which is mounted from front-to-back and clean it out, replace both filter piece and plug and replace the small drain tube.
Close the access door and operate your machine.
* Clean this filter every month or especially after washing heavy lint-producing materials.

Water drains underneath washer

the load could be to small and all the water whats been left after the wash might be because you only need small pressure on a small wash and the pressure wont make the water evaporate. or you might just need a new drainage pipe i would put less water in next time and see if its better if not get a local self employed plumber.

Leaking on the floor on "small load" setting only

I have been selling and been doing factory authorized service on GE for nearly 30 years. I have sold many of this model. It's hard to imaging that a machine would leak water on small loads but not larger loads. In a case such as this, a servicer must remember to test the machine exactly as the home owner is using it. I would take pull the machine away from the wall and adjacent cabinets and dryer if hoses permit, (so that I could rule out water coming from somewhere other that the washer) remove the front panel, and have the home owner run the exact cycle with the exact settings and the same clothes load and soap used when the machine leaked. I suspect that some water is splashing over the wash tub. If you use a gentle cycle or a larger load you get less splashing. Even having a few more cloths items in the machine would reduce splashing. You might not expect a solution, but you do deserve an explanation. Some times the solution is strange, for example: I had a customer who said the washer leaked a lot of water onto the floor the first time it was used in the day, but worked great the rest of the day. I came out early the next day and tested the machine, and it did exactly that. What happened was the builder added on this new laundry room and the drain pipe went through the floor before the plumber added the trap. The builder then insulated the area but put the insulation on the room side of the trap, allowing cold air to freeze and plug the drain. After warm water pumped into the drain and most of the water overflowed the top of the pipe onto the floor, the rest of the water melted the ice in the trap and the machine worked fine until the next day after the water had a chance to form a later of ice in the trap again. The fix was simply to move the insulation to the other side of the trap. (OK, here in Minnesota we run into weird things like that, but my point is to test the machine exactly as it is used to find where the problem lies) I'd like you to post a comment when you find your solution.

Dryer

We found that we needed to turn down the water inlet to almost off and then the dryer worked when we had the same problem.
Remember to turn it back up again before the next wash

Washer wont go through spin cycle

Bent pinched or clooged drain hose. Other cause may be the drain filter in the front of the machine. (The small door on the lower left of the machine) With a pan, remove the cap and drain water from the small tube. Then open the larger cap and clean out the lint. This should solve the problem.
